  DON'T COME TO THIS PLACEThere were rats in the room and on the ceiling. We couldn't sleep for half of the night. When I told them in the morning the guy at the reception couldn't care less, no sorry no apology. I told him we should get a partial refund and he told me it's our fault for not coming downstairs at 4am to ask for another room. Apparently there's nothing they can do against rats in their own hotel. Denied giving me a partial refund for the sleepless night. Shameful.

  Clean ,modern budget stay.

  Stayed overnight before traveling on to Semporna the next day,hotel not in best area but O.K. felt safe,check in easy had to leave a deposit not a problem,room clean and modern,water and coffee in room,bathroom clean and compact air conditioning worked well (most important) TV worked but no english chanels,Wifi worked OK.went for walk plenty restaurants just over road and 24hr convenience store just down block,had a good nights sleep and as some time to waste in morning went for a walk down near river for a while.Bus to Semporna just round block from hotel.easy check out and no problem getting deposit back,would use again.

  Decent hotel at a fair price

  City Garden Hotel is in a good location south of the main hotel district. It is close to the ocean and this the seafood markets. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the price was fair. Breakfast delivered to your room was a nice touch as well.

  We stayed here one night before we catch our flight back to KLIA2. Near to Pasar Tawau where you can get local snacks and dried seafood. Price is half then peninsular Malaysia. And many eateries nearby to choose from. Breakfast is sent to your room. They sent us scrumptious Nasi Kuning. If you dont feel like having Nasi Kuning, you can walk to open air eateries just a stone throw away from the hotel. And you can also walk to the nearby convenient store.Room is clean. Bed are comfy. Pillow and towels are fluffy. Water pressure are good.:-)
