Elegant stay in the heart of Venice

A charming boutique hotel located near Saint Mark's Square. Rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, and the quiet courtyard adds a peaceful touch to the experience.

    Perfect Location

    rating14 Jul 2025

We had a brilliant stay at Palazzo Vitturi and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. The location is perfect, right between St Mark’s Square and the Rialto Bridge, so it’s easy to walk to everything without being stuck in the busiest parts of Venice. From the moment we booked, the team made us feel looked after. They contacted us through WhatsApp before we even arrived, which was a really nice touch. Any questions we had were answered quickly and clearly, making everything feel smooth and stress-free.Our room was just right for a family of three. It was clean, comfortable, and much more spacious than we expected for a city hotel. Breakfast was a simple continental style, but it was fresh and more than enough to get us going for the day.The staff were all excellent especially Vittoria and Glerida (so lovely) who sorted a few issues I had out, but Ricardo really stood out. He was warm, helpful, and genuinely cared about our experience. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He played a big part in making our trip extra special and memorable. We had a lovely time celebrating a big birthday here and would happily come back on our next visit to Venice.

    Weekend in Venice

    rating16 Jan 2025

Long overdue review. Visited Venice for the first time in September. Chose the Hotel Palazzo Vitturi not only due to the location which is only 10 mins walk from the waters stop but similar distance to the other main attractions but also as it's a beautiful historic building. There are restaurants within a minute or two's walk and a small market in the square. The room and bathroom were extremely nice and there were tea/coffee facilities in the room however we had an issue with the TV which appeared to be only the matter of changing the remote batteries, but the gentleman on the desk simply informed us the hotel engineer wouldn't be there until Monday, the day we were flying home. The two ladies on the desk couldn't be more helpful. The breakfast was fabulous - hot food, pastries, toast, cereal, cheeses, meats and even smoked salmon. For first time visitors to Venice, I'd recommend St Marks Square, The Florian Cafe with a musical quartet, St Mark's Basilica, Doge's Palace and a gondola ride with skip the line with guide tickets, fascinating insights. Hopefully will return.(First hoto is the view of the square from hotel's upstairs window. Second photo St Mark's. Third photo gondola ride. Fourth photo Rialto Bridge.)

    Avoid. See pictures

The photos say it all. The room was dirty, the bed uncomfortable (think park bench) and the response from the team was weak when we asked if they could help resolve the issues. It’s not a cheap place to stay, for Venice. This was my 5th trip and easily the worst hotel. Sadly it ruined the weekend. Black mould on bathroom surfaces, dirt on walls, broken fittings and holes filled with toilet paper. Front desk team told me they were full and could do nothing, I emailed the manager after the stay and was told it was due to the Venice environment (what all of these problems?!?) and I could have 20% off my next stay. I politely declined but had no response. There are a conveyor belt of tourists visiting Venice, so I guess they don’t have to worry.
