The people here are so gracious and welcoming. The cleanliness is impressive and the service unmatched. Walking in the sparkling crystal chandelier-adorned lobby after 5 days in the sweltering insect-infested jungle was like walking out of a nightmare and into a dream. The check in process was more cumbersome than in the US, but that’s standard in foreign countries where they have to check passports, etc. Room wasn’t ready until 4:30 but we relaxed in the executive lounge, which was spotless, luxurious, and spacious. The lounge had an impressive alcohol selection and great fresh hot food. You can totally have heavy appetizers or dinner here. There’s a chef who will make your noodles to order, and a nice fresh salad bar and light snack assortment. The rooftop restaurant had exceptional food (mushroom risotto, ribeye steak, etc ) and nice service. The kids loved the pool! Highly recommend this Hilton!

Excellent stay - Hilton Kota Kinabalu!

This excellent hotel is centrally located close to the sea and very easy to get to most places. Grab rides are very cheap in the area costing £1 to £3 per journey - a fraction of what you'd pay elsewhere. The warm welcome, the friendliness of the staff and the superb luxury rooms exceeded our expectations on every level. As Lifetime Diamond members we were upgraded to a large 1-bed suite which was nicely furnished, spotlessly clean and very spacious. The hotel has a great Executive Lounge serving all day refreshments, evening drinks and breakfast. The lounge is a lot less busy than Urban Kitchen for a perfect and more relaxed breakfast. We also enjoyed evening cocktails together with some delicious appetisers before dinner in the 11th floor restaurant which was also superb. We celebrated birthdays during our stay and were provided with delicious treats and birthday cake. The hotel has an excellent pool with no shortage of sun loungers and never felt too crowded. What truly makes this hotel the prefect place to stay is the wonderful staff! We felt valued by everyone during our time but especially Bethanie (Front Office), Smital (GM), the Executive Lounge Team - Khairul, Thang, Ridzuan, Aiden, Brandon and Dhanya and the Rooftop Bar team Aaren, Syed and Abdul! A beautiful hotel situated downtown so walking distance to shops, food and the harbour. The staff were friendly and professional and certainly helpful. Best buffet breakfast ever!! Something to suit everyone's needs. The room was very clean and well appointed. Just loved our stay here!
