    Chep Staying Experience In Kota Kinabalu City Center

    I've been staying here for 2 days in the middle of February 2022 with my family members. Overall, the price is not so expensive and the hotel really suits our needs. This hotel offers 2 types of price - either MYR90 or MYR 100. For a single bed and queen bed, they offer you rooms for MYR 90. Wifi is good and the signal is strong. I love the location. This hotel is located next to an Indian Muslim restaurant and is very close to convenience shops, pharmacies, clinic, banks, money changers, shopping malls, night markets, seafood markets, Gaya Street Sunday Market, Sinsuran Night Market and close to grilled fish shops in Kampung Air. If you are looking for a cheap hotel with good location I suggest you pick this hotel.

    Near the city centre and amenities. Spacious room, clean, comfortable and affordable. Suggest to improve electric facilities because during my stay the heater in bathroom was unfunctional. Ask for immediate assistance but no action taken.

    Stayed here primarily because of value and location and because it advertises itself as a non smoking hotel. It succeeded on the first two, but we had to try multiple rooms before we found two that didn’t stink of cigarettes. EVERY ROOM had an ashtray in it. And when we did find two that weren’t as foul smelling as the others they tried to charge us more..... also the towels need replacing. Most of the material in them has worn away.

    Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, staff were friendly. Can get a little noisy from the karaoke bar across the road, but it didn't stop us from having a good night's sleep. Wifi was pretty slow. The tv was nice to have, even if there was omly 1 english language channel. Central location - near the night market, gaya Sunday market, shopping centres, fish market, jesselton quay.

    Cheap hotel, clean room, a bit noisy from the street behind the window. Otherwise ok but on the street in front of the hotel there were several garbage cans and a lot of rats running there. Disgusting!
