This lodge warmly welcomes guests in Sandakan.

    Great stay! Set in a beautiful spot in the jungle, this place is quiet, peaceful and relaxing! The staff are wonderful, attentive and very accommodating. They made sure any onwards travel went smoothly and assisted in booking activities. They also provided a shuttle service to the nearby orangutang sanctuary! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was really delicious!

    Such lovely staff, so helpful and kind! Really nice atmosphere to the area and such good value for money. Food was also delicious and has vegan options. Overall a really comfortable stay.

    Great value, beautiful location situated on the hillside surrounded by forest, good food, and excellent hospitality. Laundry services were a great relief and for a reasonable fee including clothes being neatly folded. The chalet was cute and the bed/bathroom were comfortable enough. It was air conditioned! Not perfectly sealed from nature, we only had 2 larger bugs visiting over the 4 nights there; if someone is strong enough to dispose of bugs, they make for fun stories. Mosquitoes were not a big concern either as someone adverse to them. It’s akin to camping if it were nicer and meals were prepared for you. Free breakfast and prescheduled shuttle services to/from the sun bear/orangutan sanctuaries were a nice convenience. Easy communication over WhatsApp including canceling a couple tours we changed our minds about. Very accommodating the whole time. I recommend this place!

    Brilliant secluded rainforest retreat

    A brilliant location, set in the forest on a hill. Very quiet location with good views all around into the nearby forest, we were able to see a lot of great and colourful birds from our room and the main restaurant building. You are just a short drive, longer walk, away from the rainforest discovery centre, orangutan sanctuary and sun bear sanctuary and they offer a free shuttle bus to take you and pick you up. The rooms are simple but have all you need, they were very clean and comfortable beds. The bathroom is outdoors and undercover - giving you a unique experience to shower in the jungle. The people here are really friendly and nice, offered advice and prep rates great food for a brilliant price.

    Idyllic rainforest retreat

    Lovely little place to stay in a perfect location for the orangutan sanctuary, sun bear sanctuary and rainforest discovery centre. Room is rustic but perfect if you want a more authentic jungle retreat. Staff are so kind and friendly and made our stay very comfortable. Food is also delicious. The shuttle bus is fantastic for getting around the various sites, including the night walk in the evening at the rainforest centre.
