Strategically located in the heart of Kota Kinabalu City with major business, shopping and entertainment centres, the hotel has a long stretch paths with hawker stalls selling local delicacies and souvenir items just outside. The hotel is also only a 10-minute drive away from Kota Kinabalu International Airport.

Facility

English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park.     I go to reception counter asking about the late check out and I was waiting my turn in front of the counter. Suddenly the concierge ( Michael ) approach me and ask if I need any assistance which is good and professional..while Michael trying to help me suddenly the reception lady shout out at Michael and ask him to drag me to next counter and said( Mike bawa pergi counter sebelah saya mahu rest!!) WHAT IS GOING ON????? You call this a 4 star hotel?..it's like pasar malam hotel!!!!     I stayed at Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu from 29–30 December 2025 and had a very pleasant experience.I was warmly welcomed upon arrival. The room was excellent—super clean, fresh-smelling, and came with a beautiful sea view that made the stay even more enjoyable.Breakfast was tasty with good variety, and overall the stay was comfortable and relaxing.I’m happy with my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others visiting Kota Kinabalu.     We stayed at the Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu with our Intrepid group for two nights — one before and one after our visit to beautiful Manukan Island. The hotel is very centrally located, within easy walking distance of the fresh produce market, night market, handicraft market, and the lively waterfront area.The property has a modern, business-style feel. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and featured a very comfortable bed with excellent pillows. I especially appreciated having an iron and ironing board in the room — a thoughtful touch after moving around quite a bit during our travels.Breakfast was fabulous, with a generous buffet offering Malay, Asian, and European options, along with fresh fruit, salads, and great coffee. The staff were consistently pleasant and professional, with the concierge particularly helpful and always willing to assist with any query.I also made use of the hotel’s laundry service — my clothes were returned beautifully fresh, pressed, and neatly bagged on hangers, which was much appreciated.Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in a great location, just a short Grab drive from Jesselton Point Ferry. Highly recommended for both leisure and business travellers visiting Kota Kinabalu.#thetravellingcouturier

    My friend and I stayed in a Twin Beds room for 3 nights. The room was exactly what we needed, spacious enough for two people with their own luggage. Each bed was very comfortable with good quality linens, and we both slept wonderfully.The room was clean and well-maintained, with a good working desk and a decent-sized TV. The bathroom was a bit dated but functional, and we had no issues with water pressure but the temperature of our ac is hot during our stay.The hotel's location is unbeatable for accessing the city center, attractions places and malls about 10-15 mins.Highly recommend the twin room for duos looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in KK.

    Critical factor that impacts my travel experience in KK

    Promenade Hotel is a centrally located hotel with easy access and the location of which is the key factor to impact this travel experience in Kota Kinabalu. 15 minutes approximately (by Grab) to reach the airport/ 15-20 minutes walk to Gaya Street/ a few blocks away from the Filipino Market and the waterfront is surely the highlight of Promenade Hotel. What’s more is that a big supermarket and lots of massage parlors are also nearby. This well-connected location saved me time and money, and it helped enhance cultural experiences and allowed for deeper exploration. On the other hand, to my annoyance, the check-in time was a long way. There was a closure of the swimming pool due to the maintenance. However, the staff I came across were quite welcoming. The bathroom was also worth mentioning as it’s spacious and with all the toiletries I needed (despite the worn-out towels). With everything taken into account, Promenade Hotel brought me influencing convenience, cultural immersion, and overall enjoyment when traveling in Kota Kinabalu.
