Location

This resort is set on a peninsula surrounded by the waters of the South China Sea. Local attractions, the city centre and Kinabalu international airport are just 10 minutes away from this surprisingly tranquil resort.

Facility

The resort has 5 lifts and features 492 rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The complex has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a hairdresser and a hotel shuttle bus. Rooms

Air conditioning ensures that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Most units include a balcony with sea views, where guests can relax and linger a while. Additional leisure activities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club, live music and a dance club.

Meals

Dining facilities include a non-smoking restaurant, a café and a bar. Half board can be booked. A wide variety of dishes are served at all three main mealtimes. Guests can enjoy lunch and dinner as a set menu. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options, picnics and snacks are available.

    I want to extend a huge thank you to the team at the Sunset Bar, especially the trilingual Haniff. Even during the busiest times, they handle the pressure masterfully and provide excellent service. We also truly appreciated the generosity of Yusef and Syzana, who went out of their way to treat us to some ice cream. Such a wonderful team!

    I would like to commend the reception team for their warm and professional approach. The Duty Manager on duty was extremely helpful, attentive, and delivered excellent service.However, I was disappointed with the experience I had with the reservation team. When I called for assistance, they were quite rigid, unable to accommodate my request, and the interaction came across as unfriendly. I had to make a second call and speak directly with the Duty Manager, who was able to handle my request efficiently and professionally.I am unsure what the issue was with the reservation team, but I hope management, including the General Manager, can look into this matter to ensure a more service-oriented and customer-friendly approach moving forward.Special thanks to Yee Yan and Jeffery (Duty Manager) for their outstanding service and professionalism.

    On Saturday afternoon, we checked in at 3:00 p.m. The lobby was extremely busy due to group arrivals. Despite this, Ms. Velinda Ismail, Assistant Guest Service Manager, personally attended to us with a warm smile and great patience. She did her utmost to organize our room, expedite the check-in process, and ensure everything went smoothly.Thank you, Ms. Velinda and the Front Office team, for your kind effort, sincerity, and strong commitment to your work. The room was superb—spacious, well-appointed, and equipped with top-notch amenities. Once again, thank you to Ms. Velinda and the Front Office team.The next morning during breakfast at TATU Restaurant, I had the pleasant surprise of meeting my former colleague from my Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur days in 2018, Mr. Ryan, the F&B Director. Despite the busy breakfast period, Mr. Ryan was hands-on—attending to guests’ needs, carrying trays, and ensuring smooth operations. It truly reflects excellent leadership, with TATU Restaurant clearly in good hands under his supervision.Mr. Ryan personally attended to us and ensured our breakfast experience was seamless and enjoyable. The teh tarik prepared by Mr. Addy was excellent—calmly and patiently made even with a long queue. I observed the F&B team working efficiently, stress-free, and with genuine smiles under Mr. Ryan’s leadership. The food selection was abundant, with a wide variety of choices.Thank you, Mr. Ryan, for the outstanding hospitality.To Mr. GM Conor Hadlington, my sincere appreciation to all the team members mentioned above.     A Nice Resort at Strategic Location

    I like its location the most - by cab, 15 mins to airport or city centre where shopping malls, Gaya street, night markets are. The resort itself is clean, spacious. We paid some extra for a seaview room which is nice with everything needed and a balcony. But I don't like the pillows which are too high and not comfy. The beddings overall are not that comfy, too thick and not soft. Breakfast has extensive choices, can treat it as brunch. But it's very crowded as expected. Overall, 2 nights' stay is fine and enough.
