Nice hotel with a good location. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. Sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage and waffles. There were biscuits and bread. Also, a yogurt machine and cereal. It was perfect for our overnight stay while traveling through the area. Great price!

    Very Happy !!

I was in town for a funeral. Initially, I was a bit apprehensive caused by some older reviews. What I experienced was a very clean, quiet and inviting property. Breakfast was satisfying, staff was pleasant and friendly, my room was quiet, the pool and area around it was ready to be enjoyed. This location is close to numerous restaurants & a major retail store. The price, I considered, was very reasonable. Bottom line is that I enjoyed my stay here.

This Hotel is in a Flood Area & the manager will Not make it right if you have to evacuate!

    rating20 May 2024

Arrived at hotel around 8:30 pm. Dropped off my husband’s cpap machine and overnight bag to the room. We left to eat dinner at Agave’s & returned around 10:45 pm. We tried to enter by the road that we entered when we originally arrived at the hotel. That road was closed because of flooding! Had to pass the hotel and circle around to a higher level of the parking lot. There were 3 trucks with rescue boats with the big fans on the back parked to block different areas in the parking lot including directly in the pull through in front of entrance. Expressed our concerns to front desk but were told there shouldn’t be a problem until maybe 3 pm on May 3rd. We were informed that they were only calling guests to move their cars to the higher part of parking lot because of the water starting to rise on the lower part of the parking lot! We asked to please call us if water started to come closer to where we parked. We went to our room but looked out the window to see the water still creeping closer. My husband moved our car to the street in front of 18 wheelers. He returned to the room but just minutes later I was so worried that we went downstairs to a completely covered parking lot. After a few minutes outside talking to different people about the situation. A man said that snakes and alligators can get in the flooding water. He said that 1 man had already had to be refused from a tree because of an alligator. This really made me worried about the rising water. The lady from the front desk came out & said that she just got an evacuation phone call. People would need to go to the Baptist church for shelter. We were told that 59 was closed both directions and also 105. We were trapped in Cleveland. We had to walk up the hill in over ankle deep high water. I could not have made it without the help of a very nice employee, Jonathan! He took off his shoes & socks and helped me through all the water to my car. We stepped in a fire ant bed next to my car. My husband & I got numerous ant bites that festered up & are now scars but at least now they don’t itch so badly. I hope that since Jonathan is so much younger than us that his bites were not so painful. Since we did not get to spend the night, I felt like we should have been reimbursed at least part of our money but the hotel manager was very uncaring and REFUSED!!! We have stayed at that hotel many times but never again!!!!!
