Location

This hotel is located in the Malaysian state of Sabah, a land rich in dense rainforest, powdery beaches, lush paddy terraces, water buffaloes and a culture filled with myth and traditions. Mount Kinabalu, South East Asia's highest peak, lies in the state. The hotel is a mere 5 minute drive from town and a 15 minute drive from the airport.

Facility

149 rooms are available to guests in a 5-storey main building and a 3-storey auxiliary building. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift. There are a number of shops as well. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (no extra charge) or in the car park. Rooms

Rooms feature a kitchen and a bathroom. Air conditioning ensures comfortable temperatures. The rooms have a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. There is also an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) ensure optimal comfort. Slippers are included. While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. A terrace with sun loungers and parasols is available. For those who wish to stay active while on holiday, the hotel offers golf. Sport and leisure facilities at the hotel include a gym, darts and aerobics.     First time staying at this hotel. Room have a very English rustic feel. Able to enjoy a very hot shower after a long day and aircon is super cold. As for the breakfast buffet the service can improve as it is under staff and table couldn't find pepper and salt. Location wise is very good as it is a drive away from the city and still have to avoid the crowd to enjoy the peace. Lastly the soundproofing of the rooms needs to be better improve. Overall will definitely return again.     Gym shud open at least 6am after subuh prayer. However it is nice hotel. No jogging tracking here.     Best place for family to stay!

    We were there last month and we had a great stay. The kids enjoyed the pool and they did not want to leave. We have to convinced them that we will return for next holiday. We love the room and especially the layout of the room. Even the bathroom was clean and very beautifully designed. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The kids love chatting with the staff.     Perfect hidden gem

    My husband and I stayed for 8 nights. The hotel has had the rooms refurbished and they are bright clean and airy,and you can open the windows. The hotel staff were probably one of the best we have encountered on any of our trips, and nothing was to much trouble for them. They were friendly, polite and always said hello, the security staff on the door were the same. And we thank you all for making our stay a great one. The facilities were all good, the restaurant was undergoing renovations, (there was no noise) so we had breakfast down on the lower level, which wasn't the nicest spot but we understood. When the main restaurant opens in June 24 it will be lovely overlooking the pool and forest area. Breakfast was limited in the European options, but adequate. Unfortunately the fried eggs always cold, but the staff would take mine to be cooked a little more, thank you. I would recommend you give this hotel a go, a bit out of the town, but a good walk after breakfast or back to hotel after dinner at the waterfront. Or you could just get a grab, so easy.The gym & pool areas spotlessly clean and lovely. Just ask for steam room to be turned on 10mins before you want to use it. Reception area was also very clean and beautiful. The whole hotel was great! Would definitely recommend.     Solid hotel for budget travel. Super clean, helpful staff. Large/ fancy lobby. Quick to respond / send engineering within minutes when I had a problem with air con. It was fixed within 15 minutes.Solid breakfast buffet, even continuing to refill some foods 15 minutes before breakfast ended. Nice/ clean pool. Only issue is hotel restaurant for dinner took a lengthy amount of time to bring out our food, but I’m guessing this is bc they are adjusting to their temporary location (basement) as the main restaurant is under renovation.You will have to take Grab everywhere as it’s located at the top of a hill, so it’s not quite walkable to main attractions. They stored our bags for 3 days when we checked out to go to sepilok, then checked back in. My 9 year old son/ kid enjoyed.
