    Not a very comfortable stay

    rating31 Aug 2019

The owners have a cat in the hostel which means that some of the common areas smell like stale cat.Light in the bathroom of the dorm was not that bright.Common bathroom next to common area wasn't the cleanist.TV and AC in the room. They will organise a car transfer to the airport. This is not included and does cost extra.Situated next to some small restaurants, petrol station and mart OYO_Team, Guest Relations Manager at OYO 414 Adiff Palace Hotel, responded to this review Hi Suzie_Thom,We sincerely regret that your stay at OYO 414 Adiff Palace Hotel did not live up to your expectations. DO NOT GO HERE THEY WILL TRY TO SCAM YOU

    rating24 Jun 2019

Do not go here they will try to scam you. In 7 months of traveling in asia this has not happened to us. Booked via booking.com and got a confirmation, its next to international airport and its 24hours open reception. Guy at front office says we not in the system, he doesnt want to wake up his manager and want us to pay for a more expensive room. We refuse and after showing our confirmation so many times we can call his manager. Manager tells he called us (we were in the airplane) and because we didnt pick up the phone he cancelled. But booking.com shows NO cancellation. The manager and the front office guy then gets so mad at us so we leave this ****hole hotel (its already 6AM and we are tired) and have to book another hotel but almost everything is full and more expensive. The next day this hotel has the nerves to say to booking.com that we didn't check in and try to charge us for the night. What a joke, this place should get closed. Please don't go here.

Friendly, helpful, and definitely worth visiting again.

My flight landed a little late, and then my bank put a hold on my card because it decided Malaysia was "unusual activity". So, no money for a taxi, stuck in a place where I had no phone service, and the booking app takes up to 12 hours to contact the hotel, I didn't know what to do. Luckily, a gentleman at one of the currency exchange kiosks took his breaktime to help call the hotel, and they sent a vehicle to get me. (I later found out it was the manager's wife). They got me quickly checked in after a long day, and recommended a nearby restaurant who was having a grand reopening (free meal).

A proper place to stay a night waiting for a flight. Nice and clean with friendly staff.

Stayed there for a night in February with my wife and son. It's a simple hotel like many others so nothing too special there. What made it great for us was the helpful staff. They told me the best ways to get to and from the hotel, lent us a blow drier and were generally very helpful and welcoming. We were also afforded a late check-out, which we appreciated very much. The hotel is located about 15 min drive from the airport. For those of us without a car, there's a bus that takes you to the hotel (2MYR, less than 5 min walk to the bus station) or you can order the hotel transfer (40MYR) if you can't be bothered with the bus. We took the hotel transfer there (due to miscommunication) and later took the bus to and from. Note that Google maps is wrong about the bus - it takes less than 20 minutes to the airport. The bus starts running very early (I saw one leaving before 6am) so unless you've got a crazy early flight it got you covered. The hotel is a normal economy accommodation. We booked a room for three, and got one for four people (1 double and 2 single beds). It was nice and clean, surprisingly spacious and there was a TV and enough outlets for charging. The beds were comfortable and our room was very quiet.Nothing bad really comes to mind. The bathroom door was a bit tough to lock and the shuttle was expensive but that's just nitpicking. OYO website offered us a better price than booking.com, but by that time we were already on our way and it wasn't a massive difference.
