Perfect location if you're planning to walk/jog/run the 1.4 miles/2.25 km to the only parkrun in Malaysia!

    rating15 Mar 2026

I chose this hotel for an overnight stay purely to attend the Presint 18 parkrun, as it is the closest hotel to the only parkrun in Malaysia!Check in was OK, I had a balcony room facing the magnificent mosque and the lake, so the view was stunning, day and night. There is no bath, but ample toiletries, with complimentary toohbrush/toothpaste, shower cap, cotton buds, comb, sanitary pad, small bar of soap. There is no separate hair conditioner. There is a shower gel and shampoo in bottles attached to the wall. The shower was good, but the shower area could do with refreshed grouting as they are black and appear dirty. There's complimentary bottle of water, with a water dispensor on the corrider for top up. There is complimentary sachets of 2 coffee, 2 tea bags, sugar and creamer, so not great in quantity. There's bedroom slippers.Dinner was interesting as it was during Ramadan, so there were apparently 800 people dining in the buffet as most were breaking fast. Therefore it is recommended that during this time, to book a table in advance. The food options were plentiful, and caters for everyone, I really enjoyed the buffet.Breakfast was a different story, as I had breakfast after parkrun. In fact, I couldn't find where breakfast was as the bustling restaurant from the night before was empty, and I had to walk round the whole restaurant before I stumbled onto the breakfast area in a corner, where there was only one other table and me! The breakfast option was good which I also enjoyed.I left the hotel at 06:30 to jog slowly to parkrun, took me 17 minutes, really easy to navigate, well lit pedestrian-friendly paths. I arrived early at parkrun at 07:00. Met and chatted to lots of tourists. The course is mainly out and back, quite flat. I jogged back, which was still not too hot at that time. I had time to shower, then a leisurely breakfast, and checking out 12pm. Excellent service

    rating02 Mar 2026

My wife and I booked this hotel as we were taking part in the only Parkrun event in Malaysia, and it was closer to the event than if we had been in KL city. The hotel was clean and located in a good spot opposite the Iron Mosque - a beautiful building!Unfortunately for us we hadn’t realised that it was Ramadan. As a result the hotel was rammed with Muslims celebrating the event. Basically the hotel was dead during the day as other guests observed their fast, but come sunset it was carnage. Hundreds of guests crammed into the restaurant which had been turned over to a rather pricey buffet service. No à la carte available apart from room service. As we weren’t trying to eat for the day, the buffet was too much both in quantity and cost. So we ended up eating dinner in our room. Although the food was lovely, it’s not really what you want to do on holiday! Then the following morning, we were in a room directly below the dining room. Whilst still dark we were awoken by the constant scraping of chairs above is by the guests eating before sunrise. I had specifically requested a high floor to avoid noise. By the time we went for breakfast, there was no one else in the dining doom, the food that was left was in open warming cabinets and cold. All in all a bit disappointing - not because there was anything wrong with the hotel. More a case of us being square pegs in a hotel set up for round holes at the time of our visit. You may be wondering why I have given 5 stars? Ordinarily I wouldn’t have reviewed at all as I don’t think it is fair to criticise a hotel catering for 99% of the guests it had. That’s just my problem. It was after I left that my decision changed. I accidentally left some items of clothing, only discovering my error when I arrived 20km away in KL city. Fortunately a sister Dorsett hotel was virtually next door to my new accommodation. I decided to call in to see if my items had been found. The duty manager sprung into action, contacting the hotel in Putrajaya. They found my items, then arranged to courier them across to me the following morning for a minimal cost (less than £4!)Absolutely outstanding service that should not go unrecognised.Well done Dorsett hotels. You deserve the 5* rating for this act alone. Thank you Rosnani Mohamed Rawi, Other at Dorsett Putrajaya, responded to this review Dear bell5781, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience at our hotel. Good hotel option within Precinct 2

    rating25 Feb 2026

Stayed here during CNY. They upgraded me from windowless to a room with window, which is very much appreciated. Room is clean and well maintained, although the shower head needs some replacement coz there was so much leakage whenever I take a shower, water gets wasted. The decors of the hotel are nice, although it feels a bit outdated. The hotel is within Precinct 2, basically right smack in the middle of the precinct, walking distance to different buildings like the nearby mosque, and the Floria park, and the Putra Square. There is also a grocery and convenience store, and MR DIY at the hotel grounds, and a food truck park nearby. To reach the hotel via public transpo, you can take any of the buses (T511 and T509) from Putrajaya Sentral station and alight at the closest bus stop from the hotel.Definitely won't mind staying here again when I am in Putrayaja. Your detailed insights will be helpful to other travelers as well.Thank you again for your kind words, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Putrajaya on your next visit.Regards, The Management

    Observations for Service Improvement

    rating15 Dec 2025

This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Putrajaya and is easily accessible. However, the basement parking looks run-down and would benefit from improved lighting and refurbishment to enhance both safety and security. The room is comfortable and adequately equipped with the necessary amenities. Breakfast at the coffee house is a standard hotel buffet and meets the basic expectations. For business travelers, the hotel may wish to consider offering a more tailored breakfast selection and reviewing the service standards at the coffee house. The lobby is functional but does not convey the impression of a grand or premium hotel entrance. Overall is acceptable. Rosnani Mohamed Rawi, Other at Dorsett Putrajaya, responded to this review Dear LacLemanCH,Thank you very much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback following your stay with us. We’re delighted to hear that you found our location in the heart of Putrajaya convenient and our rooms comfortable with the amenities you needed — your honest impressions are truly appreciated. At the same time, we sincerely thank you for your constructive comments regarding the basement parking, breakfast offerings for business travellers, and the lobby ambience. We understand how improved lighting and refurbishment in the parking area would enhance both safety and your overall experience, and we will share your feedback with the relevant teams for review. We also appreciate your suggestions about tailoring our breakfast selection and elevating service standards to better meet the expectations of business guests. Our aim is to provide a welcoming environment for all our guests, and your insights help us identify areas where we can improve. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future, and provide an even more enjoyable stay.Regards, The Management

Disappointing Stay ,Cleanliness, Front Desk Experience and Maintenance Standards Need Improvement

    rating23 Nov 2025

This was my second stay at Dorsett Hotel Putrajaya, and unfortunately both visits were disappointing, even though I tried to give the hotel another chance. I truly hoped for a better experience this time.During my recent stay, I had to be moved to three different rooms due to various issues:Room 1: A needle was found under the table desk, which was very concerning from a cleanliness and safety standpoint.Room 2: The room had a strong cigarette smell, making it uncomfortable to stay in.Room 3: Although the bed was comfortable, the bathroom had a sewage odor, the sink was not properly cleaned, the minibar/minifridge was not functioning, and the safe box was not working either. While at night, saw a reception(Indian girl) playing a mobile phone @videocall chit chatting a bit loud at the lobby.Upon check out, no courtesy has been given, the standards is not there. While I appreciate the staff’s efforts in assisting with the room changes, these issues show that housekeeping and maintenance standards need significant improvement. I hope the management will take these concerns seriously to ensure a better experience for future guests. Rosnani Mohamed Rawi, Other at Dorsett Putrajaya, responded to this review Dear razakaba, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. We sincerely apologize for the disappointing experience during your recent stay, especially considering that this was your second visit with us. It is truly regrettable that we did not meet your expectations once again, and we understand how frustrating and inconvenient this must have been.We are very concerned to learn about the cleanliness and maintenance issues you encountered across multiple rooms. Finding a needle in the room, the presence of cigarette odor, and the condition of the bathroom and minibar are completely unacceptable and far below the standards we strive to uphold. Please rest assured that we have brought these matters to the immediate attention of our housekeeping and maintenance teams for thorough review and corrective action. We are also disappointed to hear about your experience with our front desk service and the unprofessional behavior observed in the lobby. This does not reflect the level of courtesy and professionalism we expect from our team. We will be addressing this matter directly with the staff involved to ensure such behavior is not repeated. While we appreciate your acknowledgment of the staff who assisted with the room changes, we deeply regret that the overall experience fell short. Your feedback is extremely valuable, and we take your concerns seriously as we work to improve our service standards across all departments.Thank you once again for bringing these issues to our attention. We hope to have the opportunity to regain your trust and provide you with a significantly better stay in the future.Regards, The Management
