  Hotel is ok considering there’s hardly any competition.Pros: -A relatively short drive to Bandelier, the lab and other Los Alamos spots.-A couple of restaurants in walking distance as well as a grocery store.-Room is a good size.Cons:-Room is kind of dark/window is small and the outside of the window was dirty during my stay-Breakfast is mediocre for this type of free breakfast. Very few healthy options: Yogurt was all sweetened, oatmeal there but not so great, no cereal with fiber (just special K and fruit loops, most places at least have raisin bran). -No good outdoor space to sit and relax.   What I Expect from a Hampton Inn

  This was your average, or maybe slightly above average Hampton Inn. Convenient location to some food, but there is not much in White Rock. Convenient to the lab. Nothing fancy, but what was needed and met my needs well. Probably would stay there again. The staff was nice.

  The front desk lady was rude and condescending. She made me feel unwelcome and was very confrontational. I wish I had her name because she should be fired for how she spoke to me and my partner. I stayed there one night and will never stay there again.   A good place to stay to visit Bandolier, comfortable and clean

  We stayed twice at this hotel on our way out to the Grand Canyon and back in August and September 2024. The first night we stayed here we visited Bandolier National Park the following day. It was very convenient to the park. We got up early so we could drive our own vehicle to the park. If you go during the busy season between the hours of 9am and 3pm you must use Bandolier's shuttle service. Staying so close we were able to arrive about 7:30am.Besides the good location, this hotel is fairly new, the rooms were nice. The first night we had a regular room, the second night on the way back we got a suite. There was a grocery store, Smith's, approximately a block away.Diamond Member parking is not out in front of the door and in view of the registration desk as I prefer, but the town appears to be safe and clean and catering to tourists, so it was not something I was overly concerned about here. The front desk staff were nice, the breakfast was your typical Hampton Inn breakfast and looked good. The coffee was hot upon arrival and during breakfast.The suite we stayed in had a wet bar area that was convenient for cooking microwave food. We will definitely come back here sometime as we would like to spend some more time at Bandolier someday.
