    The worst Ibis I've stayed in. Reception was never available - totally understaffed. They had no time to check me in even. I told the reception I wanted a quiet room. She gave me a room right in front of the lifts. Rooms have ultra-thin walls -- constant noise throughout the day of banging, moving furniture, people shouting, kids screaming in the corridor and at the lifts. The room was never cleaned. I had to call them every evening just so that the cleaners came. The TV never worked. I called it to be repaired. It worked for a few minutes, then went off again. I couldn't bother. All staff except reception are migrant workers. Basic communication was very difficult.     Good Hotel in a Good Location

    We stayed for 04 nights at this hotel during the 1st week of May 2026. The hotel is centrally located and only walking distance to the Twin Towers. It doesn't have porter service but the staff at the Reception are friendly and security is really good. We were a group of Hotel General Manager's going on holiday and when mentioned, they placed amenities in the rooms, which was a nice touch. The breakfast buffet is good with a good variety. The spa is good and I used it twice during my stay. Lot of places around there to eat so we explored them as well mainly for dinner.Overall, nice experience and I would definitely recommend this hotel.     Well-Located KL Stay, Comfortable Room and Good Value

    ibis Kuala Lumpur City CentreCHECK IN: 17 APR 2026CHECK OUT: 19 APR 2026This was a very last-minute trip to Kuala Lumpur — booked in the morning and checked in late at night. The rate was 430.72 MYR. Although it was booked as an online payment rate, payment was actually made at the hotel upon arrival.If you’re visiting KL and looking for an Accor hotel with a good location at a reasonable price, this property is a solid choice.From KLIA, I took the KLIA Express to KL Sentral. If you have luggage, I’d recommend taking a Grab from KL Sentral to the hotel — it’s about 16 MYR and takes around 15 minutes. It’s much more convenient than taking the LRT, as the 10-minute walk from the station isn’t very luggage-friendly.The hotel overall is good. I booked a Standard Room (around 21.5 sqm) and was upgraded to a high floor on level 27 as part of my Platinum benefits. The room follows the typical ibis style — compact, but in practice it feels quite spacious and comfortable to use.A nice touch is that they provide a bolster pillow, which makes sleeping more comfortable.When entering the room, the air conditioning was already on and the room felt cool immediately. Cleanliness was excellent — you can tell right away. The bathroom is relatively large, and the water pressure is very strong, making showers very enjoyable.There was a welcome fruit platter in the room. Drinking water is provided in glass bottles as tap water. Personally, I noticed a slight smell, so I preferred buying bottled water from the mini mart across the street.The location is a strong point. It’s in the KLCC area — about a 10-minute walk to the Petronas Twin Towers, close to the KLCC LRT station, and even closer (around 5 minutes) to the MRT Putrajaya Line. There’s a small shop in front of the hotel, but for more variety and better prices, I’d recommend going to the malls around KLCC.Breakfast is served from 06:30 to 10:30. It’s quite impressive for an ibis standard. I went down around 07:00 after a morning gym session — it was quiet at first, but within minutes it became very crowded and tables filled up quickly, with people waiting in line. If you’re traveling solo, it’s best to leave something on the table to reserve your seat. I left only a card and came back to find my table taken.A recommended dish is nasi lemak — try adding some chicken for extra protein. Very tasty. However, the breakfast menu did not change over the two days, so it might feel repetitive for longer stays.The staff overall were good. Even though the hotel was busy, they remained calm, explained benefits clearly, and had a good understanding of the membership program. Despite booking last minute, I received a welcome email earlier in the day outlining the benefits and asking about late check-in or check-out preferences.I informed them I would arrive around 23:30 due to an evening flight. They offered a late check-out until 17:00, but I declined as I had a noon flight.Platinum benefits included complimentary breakfast for two and a high-floor upgrade, which is standard for ibis.I didn’t get to use the welcome drinks — I had an early morning Malaysia Airlines mileage run on Saturday and ended up returning to the hotel around 1 AM. The next day, I left the hotel early again.The hotel also has a 24-hour fitness center and a swimming pool, which is a nice addition for this category.Overall, if you’re visiting KL and want a well-located hotel in the city center with easy access to everything, this is a good option.
