This city hotel is ideally located in the heart of business and shopping districts of Kuala Lumpur. It is walking distance from the Light Rail Transit (LRT) station, which takes you to various city attractions such as the Merdeka Square, Central Market, for those looking to experience diverse cultures, shopping complexes, tempting authentic restaurants, night spots and the Putra World Trade Centre, the premier meeting and convention venue. The hotel is only a 15-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur Central and a 50-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

Facility

The hotel has 20 single rooms and 12 suites and includes a lift and a reception desk. A baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket, are great for shopping or just browsing. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (no extra charge) or in the car park.     It has lived through the heydays in the 90s under the Holiday Inn City Centre franchise. It was (and still is) popular for its proximity to the affordable public shopping outlets in the vicinity. When the new management Summit hotel group takes over, it retains what appears to be Summit’s approach: “how do we reduce cost?” With this philosophy, we have room that has been stripped of carpeting in favour of laminates, a bit of touches here and there whilst maintaining whatever is still usable; barely. Put in another way, start with four stars and take away half to leave the guest guessing: more than 3 perhaps, 4 stars maybe, naah... not 4. The telly’s not showing any pix, the minibar makes loud noise every now and then and my pet peeve of many non Europe hotels: they never stick to the convention of left for hot water right for cold. Here, if its not one way then its the other. So if the waters lukewarm (to save heating bill), you wont know which because you get a tad of warm water or at room temperature and keep hoping for the hot that you may never get, as in my case with this stay. Location: close to the metro, cheap eats, Dell Boy level shopping. There’s a local Shepherd Bush kinda market nearby if you care to explore. Value: despite my putting up with a few shortcomings, it gives a fair run for the money.

    Old styled but nicely located

    We checked on time and to our surprise they didn’t take any security. Ruby was very helpful. The lift need to be serviced as it’s scary. Unfortunately no assistance to take luggage to room. Our room was on 14 th floor good to have view. Very old style room but very spacious. Shower room was very congested. Old style non effective WC. The spa really need to be looked at for suspicious and unethical work going on. Pool is small and cute.

    Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Clean room but not the bathroom. I found hairs in the bathtub. Friendly staff and great location. Near to Lrt station and shopping mall. Also close to KL Hop On Off stop centre.

    City Centre close to Shopping complexes esp SOGO

    A favourite once when under name Quality Inn...now change to Summit..A place to stay in the city centre..reasonable rates n closed to shopping complexes...5 mins walk to SOGO.Fast checkin n hospitable..comfy beds with amenities..coffee making n iron..Very serene n relaxing..Parking charge at RM2 per entry..Due for renovations maybe under new management.No Regrets..
