For a city hotel, location is everything and this one is central to most inner city attractions, services, restaurants and bars. Bukit Bintang, KLCC (including the Petronas Twin Towers), the convention centre, Aquaria KLCC, Star Hill Gallery, the Pavilion and Lot 10 are between 5 and 15 minutes' walk or a short taxi drive from the hotel. Despite being centrally located, the hotel is situated in a leafy oasis, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Kuala Lumpur International Airport is less than 1 hour away by limousine.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 300 rooms. The reception desk in the lobby is staffed round the clock. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (no extra charge).     We were deeply disappointed by what we found at the Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur — a property that markets itself as five-star but delivered conditions we would not expect at any standard of hotel.Upon entering our room, it was immediately clear it had not been properly cleaned or maintained. The carpets were heavily stained throughout and had loose food debris on them. The bedding and furniture were visibly stained. The windows were filthy. The kitchen tiles had dried food splattered across them. The fridge was in a state of disrepair — the freezer compartment was completely iced over and the unit itself was dirty inside and out.The safety concerns were, if anything, more alarming. There were exposed cables hanging from the ceiling, a wall socket that was so loose a child could pull it away from the wall entirely and access the wiring behind it, and holes in the walls where fittings had apparently been removed and never replaced. The shower tap would not stay in the on position without being held continuously — rendering it essentially unusable.We returned to the front desk within an hour of check-in and explained that we were unable to stay. Given the volume and variety of issues, we had no confidence that other rooms would be in better condition. We asked about a refund and were given a management WhatsApp number.Over the following days, we were told on two separate occasions that a refund would be issued. More than a week later, no refund has been received, and management has stopped responding to messages entirely.Photographs documenting these issues are attached. The combination of the room's condition and the subsequent failure to honour a refund commitment makes this, without question, the worst hotel experience we have ever had. We would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.     This hotel is a 45-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Located centrally in Kuala Lumpur downtown business district, this hotel is luxurious and has comfortable accommodation. Major restaurants, bars, attractions. shopping malls i.e. twin towers, Pavilion Shopping Centre, Bukit Bintang and Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre are very close by. It has restaurant in the ground floor and is quite spacious with varieties. The rooms are spacious with all the amenities and bathrooms are great with a bath tub. It's truly value for money. It has all the cleanliness and noise level is less since located away from the busy road. And Great service too.
