This city hotel is strategically located between Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya in the precinct of The Gardens, Mid Valley City. The city centre, Chinatown, is a 10-minute drive away, as is the King's palace, Istana Negara, and the National Museum. The Bird Park is 15 minutes' drive from the hotel, and the KLCC shopping centre is 25 minutes' drive away. The hotel is well connected to light and commuter railways and with convenient access to major expressways. It is undoubtedly one of the most compelling leisure, hospitality, retail and office destinations in South East Asia.

    I was stupid: paid a 6 stars price for a 4 stars (or below) hotel..

    I booked a one bedroom suite with access to the “lounge”. Upon check in, we checked out the “lounge”. It’s nothing like those lounges we experienced in any 5 stars hotel. There was a jar with some cheap biscuits and crackers which didn’t look fresh and clean. A fridge has a few pieces of cake that again didn’t look safe for me to try. I am very particular about food hygiene, especially with cream. The coffee from the machine was bad and there wasn’t any other drink in the lounge. It’s seriously worse than my office pantry! The room was big but really felt like 4 stars or below. The hotel has a restaurant and wine bar called Sage. On the evening of our check in, we went to visit at around 6pm. The door was locked. We thought we were at the wrong entrance. We asked the reception the next evening around 9pm if the wine bar was closed. They said it’s operating till 11pm nightly. We went to check again and the doors were again locked. We went back to the reception and they called the restaurant. They found out that the restaurant was closed because there was no customer that evening. So the restaurant was actually closed the evening before too. What a joke! If the management decided not to open the restaurant for business, announce it! Do not say that you have a restaurant in your hotel. How could a restaurant in a hotel just decide to close the doors at any hour it wanted?I totally regretted paying MYR 600+ per night for this one bedroom suite here . I was stupid.     A Right Choice!

    Going through many options available in KL, I decided to book St Giles Garden Residences for 2 nights. Have always wanted to try this accommodation and finally decided to do it!Check in was on the 7th level and staff was efficient and friendly. Was given a unit on the 27th floor. To me, the 1-bedroom unit was huge! Spacious living room and bedroom, separate toilet and shower area with bathtub, and a small kitchen area with a bar counter.The unit was clean and tidy, and the 2 nights' stay was cozy and comfy.The Garden Residences is connected to The Garden Mall and also Mid Valley MegaMall with lots of shops and eateries! Also, easy access to the LRT/MRT as well.Usually, I would stay at other parts of KL. Glad I made the right choice to stay at Mid Valley this time! Already looking forward to my next trip, staying here again!     Great staff, quiet and clean hotel.

    It's in a great location next to upmarket Garden Mall & everyday Megamall where you can shop till you drop. The two bedroom apartment that we stayed was clean, quiet and well serviced. While the lobby is on the ground floor, reception and a lounge are on the 7th floor. The staff were outstanding, friendly and helpful. For us, that was a bonus especially the cleaning staff. Unfortunately while we were there, the pool was closed for renovation and the gym was almost non-existent with its equipment relocated to two spots with the weights in really a difficult to find spot needing to walk though an almost deserted car park on the 6th floor. I feel it is unsafe for women and need to be relocated. Other than that, we can recommend this hotel unreservedly.     A big comfortable apartment

    We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was really modern and big. Beds were comfortable and apartment was relatively quiet apart from air conditioning unit humming from outside. There are shared washing machines and dryers located on each floor. Access to the shopping centres was very convenient. The resident lounge was nice apart from guests who were doing loud video business calls when I am trying to enjoy peace and quiet over a coffee. Surely, they can use headphones for the comfort of other patrons. Unfortunately, there is a lack of crockery, pans and pots in the kitchen. You can only really use the microwave for reheating. There weren’t even bowls in the cupboard to use for breakfast cereal which I found strange.Sadly, we were not informed of pool closure prior to arrival. This was disappointing for us as we normally use it regularly. The entire 5th floor where the pool and gym was situated was closed to elevator access from the hotel. The gym is open but you have to go through the shopping centre and enter through another lift. We did end up arranging pool access at their sister hotel- St Gile Boulevard, which was around an 8 min walk through the shopping centre. We enjoyed and appreciated the access but it was just inconvenient especially because we need to get changed out of our swimmers before heading back to our room.Overall, it was a nice stay and hopefully we will return once refurbishment of the pool is complete.     Quiet excellence

    We had a wonderful stay at St Giles Residences this week.The room was spectacular - very clean, spacious, modern facilities and great views.The staff have all been excellent too - very polite, courteous, helpful with advice and directions and patient with my stumbling Bahasa Malay.There are some nice touches too like the very comfortable lounge for guests.Add in a great location at MidValley and we will definitely come again.
