Awful Greens On The Golf Course

    rating11 Apr 2026

This review relates to golf and unfortunately a highly unsatisfactory and disappointing experience. Every single green on the course has been destroyed with virtually no grass covering and having to put on turf. When booking direct with the hotel no mention was made of the diabolical state of the greens which frankly should be an embarrassment considering all the high class golf in the area. The fairways were decent being the only positive. Bitterly disappointed I wasted a days golfing here and the course should not be offering public green fees the state it is in. Marriott Hotels, Guest Services / Front Office at The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa, responded to this review Dear Valued Guest,We are sorry to hear that the condition of the gold course did not meet your expectations during your visit, and for the disappointment you had. We understand the importance of maintaining high standards, and your feedback is essential in guiding our improvements. We’ll share your comments with the appropriate individuals, and we are grateful for your patience. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we hope to have another opportunity to welcome you back for a much-improved experience.Timothy LusherGeneral Manager

    Is this really a Westin?

    rating03 Apr 2026

Lots of nice aspects about the place. We were happy with our room and the grounds are nice. Major bummer with the pool which was completely overrun with people. They need to go to aa wristband system for access to the pool. Pretty sure there are a bunch of people that don’t belong and also like 8 people jammed into some rooms which leads to the place being way too crowded. Unfortunately that aspect and the people associated with that behavior gives the resort a low class vibe. Marriott Hotels, Guest Services / Front Office at The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa, responded to this review Dear Valued Guest,We appreciate you taking the time to review your recent stay at our resort. We apologize for the frustrations you experienced during our peak season, and we want to thank you for your patience. We are always looking for opportunities to improve our guest experience, so we are grateful for your feedback. Thank you for mentioning how much you enjoyed our property, and we hope you will return so we can build on what you enjoyed and improve upon the rest.Timothy LusherGeneral Manager

    Crowded but a good deal.

    rating01 Apr 2026

It is what it is. A bit of nickel and diming which is always annoying but great rates. If you eat local or in your room, you can save a lot. The pool is crowded but the slides are a hit with the little guys. I highly recommend taking advantage of the bikes (or bringing your own bikes or scooters) and the driving range. Avoid the “free bowling” - it doesn’t work well and is just a trap to get you into the arcade and buy more games for your kids. The property is super pretty!! Marriott Hotels, Guest Services / Front Office at The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa, responded to this review Dear Valued Guest,We’re glad you enjoyed our rejuvenating accommodations and found good value in some of our amenities. Used to love this resort, but now…

    rating30 Mar 2026

We are staying here now - we’ve been coming here every year for the last 4 years. Really disappointed in some of the recent changes which a staffer attributed to a “new GM”. They used to have cookies and lemonade outside the reception area for the kids (and adults) daily around 3 or 4pm. No more. Most importantly they always had a great happy hour at Pinz and Pints with two free drinks for hotel guests along with candy and pretzels. Now only the candy and pretzels remain. No free drink cards, no free drinks. Happy hour drinks are now $7 or more. They do offer one free game of bowling. They used to give one free game for every day we stayed. I may sound like I am just looking for freebies, but this resort is not cheap and I appreciated the little things they offered that were considered part of the resort fee. Now I’m just paying $50/day for the “free” WiFi. Lastly the Las Hadas pool was previously adults only and it was quiet and serene with poolside bar service. I have kids but I usually send them to the kids pool area that has a lifeguard. Now Las Hadas is crawling with kids, the bar is closed, and it’s just like the other kiddie pool here. No staff on site and even the gates are propped open with a rock so anyone can come in. I am sad to say we will probably seek out a different resort next year. Staff here are lovely and they are the standout part of our stay but the changes driven by greed are hard to adjust to. Marriott Hotels, Guest Services / Front Office at The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your feedback and for your continued loyalty over the past several years. can anyone reach the hotel, horrible service already

    rating30 Mar 2026

we have stayed here 3 times before, it was great every time. the manager was amazing. it is now a different nanager. I have sent at least 4 emails about some bookings we need to do on property - before we arrive for an upcoming stay. I even emailed the new manager directly.I talked to the call center in Asia (zero help they know nothing about the hotel - that took an hour), tried to do the online requests, i have no idea if they see it. Also I have held 4.5 hours on the phone for the front desk number for this hotel. how have people reached the hotel front desk? Instead of being on hold for hours for ‘all agents assisting other guests’? This is pathetic for any Mariott especially at their expensive rooms.Seems so bad already. going on hour 5 of holding for this hotel…These people are just leaving money on the table. I know it is important to do bookings before arrival because the public is also able to use all amenities on their property, they don’t priorituze guests. incredibly frustrating. Marriott Hotels, Guest Services / Front Office at The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for your continued loyalty and for choosing to stay with us again. We sincerely apologize for the difficulties you have experienced in reaching our team ahead of your upcoming stay. We understand how frustrating this has been, especially after multiple attempts through phone and email without a response. This is not the level of responsiveness or service we strive to provide, and we regret the inconvenience it has caused. Your feedback has been shared with our leadership team for immediate review to ensure we improve our communication. We truly value your continued support and are sorry that this experience has not reflected your previous stays with us. We appreciate your patience and look forward to restoring your confidence in us.Timothy LusherGeneral Manager
