Stylish hotel with a great restaurant

    rating16 Nov 2024

This is a stylish hotel in a great location within walking distance of key highlights in Chisinau. The rooms are well-appointed and look fresh and appealing. The bed was comfortable which was positive. There is a restaurant onsite, which was fantastic and I would recommend visiting even if not staying at the hotel. Overall the service wasn't particularly friendly. On asking for an additional towel (there were only two in the room), reception insisted they must bring the towel up rather than give one to us, this never arrived.

    Highly recommended

    rating13 Oct 2024

Excellent experience in this very well appointed hotel right in the heart of the center. I had a single room which was roomy, very clean and with a great quality bed and linen. The staff was friendly and professional, the location really convenient with several parks nearby and tons of cafes and restaurants. Bonus feature, they have a great adjacent to the hotel but you may need to reserve in advance particularly on the weekend nights. They also have a wine shop, the Traditional method sparking brut "Divus" is really something. Breakfast was ok, enough options and good latte. I used the Yandex app for transport but I am sure they can arrange transport to and from the airport. Wifi was very fast. All in all highly recommended and would certainly stay again

Amazing, will come again in a month!

    rating13 Jul 2024

This was our first time in Chisinau and the Thomas Albert Hotel was definitely one of the reasons for our very positive impression.Upon our arrival and check-in, we were informed that we were upgraded (free of charge) to the best rook in the hotel. This was a penthouse suite, which was very nice looking, huge, and had anything you might want or need.We loved the location and the neighbourhood, many good restaurants and cafés within walking distance. Finally, the hotel has one of the best restaurants in town at -1 level. It's called Divus and we cannot stress out how amazing the food is. Just go there and try it yourself - especially if you are a wine lover

Phenomenal hotel in Chișinău! Look no further!

    rating23 Sept 2023

Thomas Albert is phenomenal; very well one of the best hotels I've stayed in during my European (Western and Eastern) and Balkan solo tour! The hotel is ideally located in the centre of town. You can walk to the main plaza where all of then sightseeing in a matter of 10 minutes. There are many restaurants, cafes, wine bars, currency exchange booths and shops around the hotel, as well as a medium sized supermarket called Linella about 400 metres from the hotel.Rooms are spacious and elegantly designed. I simply loved the clean decor and lighting in the room. The bed was large and luxurious and I had my best sleeps in months! The duvet and pillows were the exact desired firmness and the mattress was also the perfect firmness! The bedding felt clean, crisp and brand new!The bathroom was very spacious and functional. I was positively amazed at all of the extra toiletries provided including large dispensers of hand soap, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner and body gel all of excellent quality! The toilet was very modern, and the shower was a large walk-in shower equipped with your choice of adjustable shower head or overhead rain shower. The water temperature and pressure were consistent and just right! The towels were fluffy and the brightest white you could imagine! The hotel will offer free toiletries including toothpaste, toothbrush on request, which I also thought was very throughout. There was a small vanity kit, vanity mirror and a shower cap also in the shower. The room was tastefully decorated with black and white photos, and was furnished with a large desk, a folding luggage storage rack, two bed side tables with soft above bed lighting, a large two door luggage storage cabinet with shelving, hangers, an electronic safe, an ironing table, shoe shown/polish, and slippers to wear in the room. There was also a large flatscreen tv in the room with plenty of international (English) channels to choose from, including CNN, National Geographic, BBC News, movie and entertainment channels. Wifi was secure/password-protected and very strong in the room and throughout the 3 story boutique hotel! Air conditioning was exceptional, and kept the room at the desired temperature with excellent air flow. The room also came with a mini fridge well stocked with mini bar items, complimentary water replenished daily, a little bedside chocolate on check-in, two elegant wine glasses with bottled local wine for purchase (100 Moldovan lei), a wine opener, an electric kettle, two espresso cups with saucers, two large coffee mugs, a nespresso style automatic coffee machine with two coffee capsules and a mixture of sugar, sweeteners and creamers. It was the little touches like above that brightened my day and made my stay the most comfortable it could be!The hotel also offers a self-use laundry service which I thought was genius. They even provide Euro coins for you to kick-start the machine and attentive staff monitor the laundry cycle. A 90 minute cycle costs 2 Euro and there is the option to also use the dryer for an additional 2 Euro if you don't want to air dry your clothes. I was so appreciative of this service, not having been able to do laundry other than by hand in weeks. Staff are professional, friendly and welcoming. The staff go above and beyond to help you out. The reception is staffed 24 hours! I arrived after midnight my first night and the taxi driver was trying to arbitrarily raise the already agreed upon fare. Hotel staff stepped in and advocated for me, and I was so appreciative not only for the translation support but also to have someone in my corner advocating for me (beware the taxi drivers at the airport, as they raise the fares arbitrarily after you agree on a set price!).This is a small boutique hotel with 18 rooms, and therefore I felt the size of the breakfast buffet was exceptional to match the number of guests staying. The breakfast buffet runs from 7:00am - 10:00am and the following items are offered: hot scrambled eggs, hot sausages, boiled eggs, smoked salmon (so delicious and a really nice delicacy!), sliced cucumbers, sliced tomatoes, fresh cut fruits, whole fruits for takeaway (bananas and apples), a mixture of individual plain and fruit yogurts, a variety of hot (oatmeal) and cold cereals with milk, little canisters of dried fruits and nuts, a quality selection of cold cut meats and cheeses, a quality selection of fresh baked bread and little pastries, hot brewed coffee, hot water, tea bags, fresh juices, cold water etc. breakfast was of excellent quality! The kitchen staff and incredibly attentive, clearing plates and wiping down tables and ensuring the breakfast items were always stocked in full. Well oiled machine! Also, if your flight is too early to make the breakfast buffet, on request, staff will pack you a "takeaway" breakfast free of charge! Nice perk! The hotel has a fitness centre with an incline bench, squat rack and bar, adjustable free weights, a bar with adjustable weights, an elliptical machine, yoga mats, an exercise ball, sanitizing spray, paper towels and a large cold water dispenser so you stay hydrated! I used the gym throughout my stay and as an avid weight lifter, I was so happy to have the opportunity to lift weights after training only resistance bands and body weight for months. I had the gym to myself every day!The hotel also has what looks to be a business centre with a computer and printer available to use!The hotel offers tours and also transfer services, but I didn't use either so I cannot comment. The hotel staff kindly arranged and negotiated a fair taxi fare for me to the airport. Staff were available to answer any questions you might have or meet any needs you may elucidate your make your stay as comfortable as possible. Quality, professional hospitable service!Overall, my stay was just exceptional! This hotel is top notch. Between the helpful staff, and the little comforts of home/extra amenities, I really felt at home here in Chișinău. The hotel puts great care into making sure guests are happy and their needs are met. If I could rate this hotel higher than 5 available stars, I absolutely wouldn't hesitate. Thank you kindly to all of the staff and owners who made my stay so enjoyable and whom made me feel at home with the little provided comforts! I will surely be back in the future to stay with you once again! Singing off this review with the following summary: exceptional hotel, 5 star amenities and service, terrific value and the most comfortable and enjoyable stay in all of the months I spent travelling through Western Europe, Eastern Europe and the Balkans! Terrific, terrific, terrific! Calughin Serghey, Revenue Management at Thomas Albert Hotel, responded to this review Thank you very much for your detailed review of the Thomas Albert hotel. We really admire the fact you could put every single aspect of the service in your review! Thank you again and we hope to see you next time at Thomas Albert hotel.

I stayed in a double room on the 3rd floor. Between the end of June 2023 to the beginning of July 2023.The facility seemed to have been recently refurbished, and was in an excellent state of repair, and cleanliness. The breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of items to select from, and changed from day to day.The staff were absolutely fantastic, and could not have done enough for me.I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
