  STAY HERE IF YOU'RE NOT TOO PICKY OR DISABLED

  I'm really not trying to be super picky, just stating the facts from our stay. My elderly sister and I (I'm 72) traveled to 35 states this summer and I know we would have appreciated a heads' up on some of the properties we booked, so here goes:Pros: There were bunnies in the grass outside in the evening and morning hoursCons: We encountered this a LOT on our trip, and cannot figure out how a grown man could use one of these kindergarten-sized toilets like the one at this hotel, and there was nothing to grab onto to lever yourself up . . . The bathroom had broken tiles, and the tub was extremely slippery, with no grab bars in ours. The property is on ADD-friendly in other ways as well - you need to climb steps - which had weeds growing in them - to a very small porch while dragging your luggage which is in the way when trying to open the single wide non-automatic door. This was particularly bad for us as it was pouring rain, and nobody offered to help in any way. There is no elevator either, so that means struggling to get suitcases upstairs. There are not enough outlets for charging phones and no charging ports provided. This price of our room here was one of the most expensive on our trip ($125 compared to an average of $92 at much better chain hotels we stayed at, especially considering the quality of the property. It is on the outskirts of town so not exactly 'walkable'. On our way out of town we stopped up the street at Bonnie's Diner which serves up fully-leaded breakfast and other homestyle fare. Our breakfast was roughly $34 for both of us. It is peopled with locals at the 3-stool counter, the waitresses hustle and it's small inside and VERY loud during breakfast. We grabbed some sandwiches at Subway the night before and were disappointed they had no onions and a very very slow young man working the counter to whom we had to repeat our orders at least twice. I'm sure this comes of as very grumpy, but as I said, it's just the fact ma'am. Angie Shecterle, General Manager at Super 8 by Wyndham Phillips, responded to this review Thank you for your review. We do have more than just our front entrance. If you would have asked or noticed, we have a back parking lot located just around the hotel (no need to go out to the road) with an entrance with no stairs. This is located right across from the front entrance with the stairs. We also do our best to accommodate if a guest requests a ground floor and the majority of the websites our hotel is listed on states that we are a 2 level hotel with no elevator. My employees would have been more than happy to help you with your luggage had you asked as well. Again, thank you for your review. Hope you and your sister enjoyed your trip.
