  Location great. Fail on cleanliness and no enforcement of no-smoking policy

  What’s good: Location is excellent as it’s right in the heart of Chinatown and is within 5 mins walk of the MRT and LRT. It’s reasonably priced and is ideal for hardy back packers looking for a cheap stay. What needs improvement: it’s not very hygienic and in all aspects of cleanliness can be significantly improved. There are no smoking signs everywhere yet a couple of blokes are chain smoking at the stairwell - polluting the place with smoke and a fire hazard. Even though it’s a relatively inexpensive place to stay, I wouldn’t come back as cleanliness is a major issue for me.

  Great location, decent place but needs a few areas of improvement

  Recently stayed here with a family of 4. Took the 4 person room which has 2 single bunk beds and a double on the third tier. What we like: great location right in the heart of Chinatown. Easily accessible to good and cheap eats and bars. Walking distance between 5 to 10 minutes to the LRT, MRT and Monorail means excellent connectivity to anywhere in KL. A rooftop bar is a nice touch and you can go up to get a good view of the surrounds at dusk or night. What needs improving: no wifi reception in our room. Power sockets all fail to work in our room. Only one was repaired which made it inconvenient. Bathrooms were very basic and one of them is attached to a bidet faucet instead of proper shower faucet. A shower faucet is cheap and I felt why not just replace it with a proper shower faucet??General comments:It’s generally well kept and clean. No toiletries or hair dryer so bring your own. Basic kitchen to replenish water or make cuppa noodles. Not much of a lounge area. Could have put more seats and tables which would encourage more interactions. Checkout time 12 noon and check in at 2pm so it’s pretty reasonable. I felt that with some better maintenance and up keeping it will make it very good place to stay.

  The Only Highlight is the Friendly Staff!

  We stayed 3 nights at this hostelPros: Location is great, very near from the train station, many nice cafes in the area, the best part is the friendly staff (Malik) he's very passionate about his work, he always greeted us with a smile and was always ready to answer any question we had, he gave us a free map and explained all the MUST VISIT places to go to and how to get there, he recommended KAMPUNG BARU area for local food and it was the best Malaysian food we ever had. Cons: It gets noisy at night because there's loud music playing at the bar upstairs, there are many guests staying long term so you wont see many backpackers at this place, the hostel is rundown so they need a major upgrade soon.

  This is really good hostel. It's very cheap and the staff was also friendly. Location is perfect. Love the rooms. It's very unique. They even let us leave our baggage when it's time for check out. Me and my friend enjoyed our stay.

  I loved my stay in the hostel because I met so many amazing people!😍 There is a nice bar in the rooftop, one of the best ones in whole KL. The beds are comfy and the rooms have AC. They are also repainting the walls to make the hostel more beautiful.
