    Zen zen zen

    rating07 May 2026

Ok where do i start. Stunning place that is very very Zen and this is how it’s meant to be. All the staff are lovely, always smiling and happy and i believe they are just happy staff because of the environment they work in. Its in a very affluent part of Kuala Lumpur and was originally a private very wealthy businessman’s home. We stayed in Room 7,nearest to the security gate(manned 24/7) . Yes-very expensive for us but so worth it, massive hot tub in our room which would probably sit 8 comfortably.Patio doors out onto the stunning pool area.Huge queen size bed. Lots of green and bamboo everywhere.Breakfast is amazing, again down to the staff, nothing was ever too much.We ate in the restaurant every morning but only once in the evening, this was lovely but food so cheap here in Malaysia we ate out mostly. The restaurant is not expensive here either and very high quality. Grab(uber kind of thing) is so cheap to get anywhere. Villa Samhadi and all staff you should be proud of yourselves. One thing i will mention but it fid not affect our stay in the slightest but needs to be mentioned. The roof is traditional Thai reed and it needs a lot of work-complete renewal and a few other things need to be maintained. I would imagine a specialist is needed for both to be in-keeping with the style of the hotel. None of this affected us but some people may find it a bit dated cosmetically. All in all a stunning place that i will remember fondly. Thanks to all staff.

Delightful stay in this absolute gem of a modern take on a Malaysian house with its own surrounds swimming pool in the middle of

    rating20 Apr 2026

We’ve had a delightful stay. The house is a mixture of fairly recent architecture and overlaid Malaysian woods bricks tiles and artefacts. It is an oasis in KL the staff are most helpful in every respect. And the Day passes sweetly if you want to stay in and relax with a delightful breakfast in the superb restaurant wherever I hear Western Malaysian Thai dishes are prepared. Philosopher food is from nearby organic and the breakfast juices shakes and plates are a wonderful combination of fresh food. There is also afternoon tea and cocktails and we have had dinner in the restaurant which was brilliant. The hotel also owns three other restaurants in the local area. The staff are all helpful to default and we cannot recommend this place highly enough. However, I’m not quite catching the vibe of the swimming pool which is round three sides of the hotel, which is absolutely magnificent and the rooms which have either ladders down into the pool on the ground floor or balcony is overlooking it above with their own plunge pool in the rooms. Can’t recommend the place highly enough.

    An unforgettable experience

    rating21 Feb 2026

A truly memorable stay. Yes, there are probably better 5-star towers in the middle of KL but do you really want to stay in the middle of a crazy hot and humid city centre?Villa Samhadi is an experience more than a hotel - a peaceful oasis to stay within easy reach of KL city centre.Yes it’s a bit tired and needs some love and restoration however the staff are faultless in their desire to welcome you and make you feel happy.Because it’s tired there are the inevitable faults…our air con unit needed fixing, the toilet needed a fix a couple of times, some light bulbs needed changing - but our requests were always swiftly dealt with and with a smile. We stayed in a Luxe Sarang for 10 days. A huge space with a courtyard entrance and access to the pool from the balcony. I’m glad we chose this over a Crib and The Loft. The restaurant was never full and the menu was varied however with such a long stay you inevitably run out of ideas and eat the same things - not that it bothered us.The hotel arranged a tour to the elephant conservation park. It was pricey but was the highlight of our stay.We also booked massages twice with the reception that were delivered on the property. These were excellent.Overall I give this 4/5 purely as the Villa needs some TLC as it’s past its prime (the thatched roof needs replacing for instance) however that’s cosmetics - the staff are amazing and this alone gives it a 4 star as a minimum.Should we ever return to KL, this is where we would stay.

Exotic tropical resort in downtown Kuala Lumpur

    rating22 Jan 2026

This beautiful oasis is conveniently located in the embassy area of Kuala Lumpur. The rooms are exotically furnished with no 2 rooms being the same and the outdoor areas, restaurant and pool have tropical Thai style. There is complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktail hour. The restaurant food is delicious and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I will be coming again.

Amazing place in the middle of KL, just 20m walking from twin towers. This will be our favourite place in KL from now on. Rooms, service and food was over the top.
