  ???? **2/5 – Very disappointing customer service and lack of flexibility**

  I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Resorts World Genting – First World Hotel, particularly with the way my booking issue was handled.I booked a stay for **9–11 October 2026** specifically because I was attending the Bitfunded event. The event was subsequently officially changed in both date and venue, completely outside my control. I provided official documentation confirming the changes.I understood that my booking was under a non-refundable and non-amendable rate. However, I contacted the hotel to see whether a reasonable goodwill solution could be offered.I was not simply asking for my money back. I offered a practical alternative: **move my existing booking to 23–25 November 2026**, or any available two-night period after that. This would have allowed me to retain the value of the booking and still stay at the hotel.Unfortunately, the request was rejected based strictly on the booking policy, with no flexibility offered.What disappointed me most was the lack of meaningful **customer recovery and goodwill**. I believe exceptional circumstances are exactly when customer service should demonstrate some understanding and flexibility.Eventually, Agoda stepped in and offered me a **50% goodwill refund**, which I accepted. I appreciate Agoda for providing a resolution, but I am disappointed that the hotel itself was unwilling to offer a reasonable alternative such as a date change.This experience has changed my perception of Resorts World Genting's customer service. Policies are important, but how a company treats customers when unexpected circumstances occur is equally important.I will personally **think twice before booking First World Hotel again**, and I will be hesitant to recommend it to my family and friends based on this experience.I hope management reviews how exceptional cases and customer recovery are handled, because a little flexibility could have turned a disappointing situation into a positive customer experience.

  Unfriendly Receptionist and Clogged Wash Basin

  The room is dirty, the wash basin is clogged. The receptionist is rude. We arrived at 10 pm, Q almost 1 hour. Got room on 16th floor, the room key can not open the door. Must go back to the receptionist. Waiting for 15 mins again and got smoking room on 21st floor. Such a bad experience. Hotel must trained the staff to be more polite and friendly. The room facilities also must be checked before the guest checked in.

  The reception counter feels more like a hospital waiting area where people queue to collect medicine. The check-in process was very slow, and the staff took too long to serve guests.Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place. First World Hotel deserves only 1 star based on my experience. Duty manager also no function Just standing Like robrt.

  Genting First World Hotel - July 2026

  Checking in was very challenging. Was told the entire hotel with more than 7000 rooms are all full !!! However, thanks to the counter receptionist Ms Sharvini, she was very helpful, she helped to reserve a non smoking interconnecting rooms for me and advised me to go back to her counter around 3 pm to do the check in again. Noticed that maybe cuz of the large crowd, during my stay, the housekeeping took a long time to tidy up our rooms. Over at the casino, I would like compliment a staff named Jun Li who had helped to change my member card. He was friendly, patient and very efficient. As for the shopping, I noticed that a lot of shops had closed down for good. Overall, the trip to Genting was okie but hope that the check in process can be improved on please. Thank you.

  Largest hotel with the largest disappointment

  The worst experience ever. It claims to be the largest hotel and fail to meet any other expectations you can hope for. Rooms are old and cramped. Don't even get me started on Check in service. It took us 3hr to get checked in, despite so many self check in counters, none of it works. I queued to register but only to get told to get queue number to check in at the reception. Breakfast is in another building, which u need to take a shuttle bus to, and food is terrible as well. I regret every second of my stay there. Don't ever go there
