  Comfortable and well looked after

  Stayed before for weekend functions. Just off the main road, but pleasantly quiet.Rather utiliarian rooms, but perfectly comfortable and decent size.Pleasand breakfast and evening meals.Function area was poorly lit, but we managed.Recommended.

  Comfortable room near bar and restaurant with no steps which was ideal for disabled companion. The breakfast was delicious and evening meals very good. Ideal location for Roman Remains at Caerleon and Caerwent and Norman Castles at Chepstow with many more in driving distance. Tintern Abbey and the Wye Valley are nearby. An ideal centre for exploring the area.   Enjoyable stay

  We had a really comfortable stay here!The staff were so friendly and helpful and the room was really cosy and comfy with Sky TVFabulous pillows and piping hot water in the bathroom, a bit of plumbing noise but nothing to cause concern.In fact generally this hotel is very peaceful with good facilities.The bar area is well equipped very clean and modern, we had an evening meal here which was superb.Breakfast was outstanding with a huge choice of cold or hot food and friendly staff.We have used this brand before but have to say this has to be one of the best we have been to and would certainly return any time.   A mess will never re book after this year

  Went for Christmas day lunch, what a dissapointment. Service was terrible, I mean really bad! Took 20 minutes to clear table after 1st course. Had to get up 3 time to ask for drinks. My wife again had to get up and ask for table to be cleared. The table was not even ready when we were seated, totally not finished. We also had to ask for bread rolls after the waiter was leaving after the soup. When we had desert still plater from the main meal on the table. The staff were more interested in chatting than being attentative to the customers. The worse thing is I have to go back with others tommorow to do the same again so dreading that bit may e we get a different team of staff. Also to congested from a table point of view and the table layout itself is a mess and not appropriate. I will never be booking this again especially after paying a fe hundred pounds.   Festive food and fun done perfectly!

  I visited today with 3 friends for the Festive Lunch with entertainment. The hotel was beautifully decorated and oozed Christmas cheer! The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Food was a 3 course lunch which was served piping hot, beautifully cooked and very tasty. The serving staff were wonderful and worked like a well oiled machine! The entertainer was funny, had a great voice and guaged the audience perfectly with the choice of songs.
