  Nice place for Family Gathering

  Dear Emily:-It was a great pleasure to meet you and your wonderful place. We loved the resort and each members of the family liked your resort and will be keeping in mind for our next Family Gathering. Please do pass our sincere gratitude to your management for having such a great place. Below are some of the feedback:-1) Room were nice and clean2) Washroom were clean and free from smell3) All gazebo was nicely managed4) Place was free from human traffic5) Facility was great6) You and the Other Handsome man was so accommodating in full filling our needs7) Great hot n cold water services for dinking8) Good service on hot beverages in the rooms for guest9) Pool was clean and we never use due to the current pendemic10) Chalet was quiet n peaceful11) Facilities such as dining place, fridge, place to have games were so great12) Overall all of us had a great time.Please do send me your e mail address so I can send you the comments officially and also is the Eco Resort registered under Trip Advisor?   Comfortable but could be better

  Am always on the look out for clean and comfortable dog-friendly resorts. Was delighted to know that this resort welcome dogs. The stay was decent one but could be much better. Be prepared break away from hustle and bustle of the city. Ipoh town is about 20-30mins drive away if you would like to have your meals. We booked 2 nights at the River Chalet, which was next to the River Kinta. The room can sleep 4 (1 queen and 1 double-decker). The bathroom/toilet was spacious enough and clean. However, the room could be cleaner. What is visible is clean but what is not visible is sooo dirty - like under the bed! My furkid unfortunately likes to occasionally get under the bed (dog's way of feeling safe). We were 'visited' by a rat every night. He came biting through our sealed packet of snacks! That's really being one with nature :) And you need to be mindful that the place has lots of mozzies!! Always keep the room doors shut tight and bring lots of mosquito repellent! The common areas were relatively well kept. Though not all the common seating areas were clean. I guess it is because there were not many other guests. If you were to stroll further away from the main area where the other units are, the grass is not cut. So my poor furkid had lots of Lovegrass stuck all over him whenever he roams the place but that is fine. Part of the fun. Overall the stay was ok considering the amount per night. If you are an outdoor type of person, this may be a good place to try out with a group of friends.

  Hotel Comfort in the Heart of Nature

  Give a break to yourself and kids away from the world of gadgets and experience the nature and its offerings with some fantastic hospitality and great food. Living in the rooms up on the Kinta rapid, Tree houses, enjoying the poolside cocktails or going for an early morning trek all comes together. Do not go for the 5 star comforts but for an experience of a lifetime. Special mention for Santhy host of the "Squirrel Hideout" restaurant for her impeccable hospitality and one of best Indian Curries made to order.Looking foward to go back again.

  Back to nature

  Roots is a place situated along Kinta river. It is part of the palm oil estate. This is a place to go if you want escape the hustle and bustle of the city life. ItS very laid back! Don't expect anything fancy! This is back to nature, hence do come prepared with mosquito repellant and stuff. If you don't like nature, then this is not your cup of tea. This place is a very beautiful and serene place for family or friends gatherings. Best of of this vacation , pets are allowed provided you are a responsible owner to pick up after them. Pavin, Shanti, Sudesh, aunty in the kitchen, Eqa at front desk also all others that works here are very friendly and helpful. Shanti prepares all your meals accordingly and its tasty. I would like to wish thank you to the whole team for a wonderful 3 nights stay here with Fifa. Fifa is gonna be tired out when I drive back home to KL. We will surely return to this place. Once again thank you!

  Mosquito infested, unhelpful management

  We booked a deluxe cabin with spa tub by the river at a cost of MYR640 for the night. When we arrived we were shown to a basic cabin (on par with school camp facilities), with tiny bathroom, no spa, utterly infested with mosquitoes and right next to a busy road.When we asked what happen to our booked deluxe cabin we were firstly told it didn’t exist any more, then we were told it was being renovated, then we were offered a refund of MYR360 to stay in the available cabin (the true cost of the basic cabin - why did they accept our original payment?), then a staff member let slip that they gave away our cabin to guests that turned up earlier in the day because we had not pre-payed as we booked through Hotels.com. We were told our only option was to accept the partial refund and stay in the available cabin. They offered to spray for mosquitoes but there were literally HUNDREDS in the room. I even inhaled one. Management refused an immediate full refund as they needed approval from manager in KL and said mosquitoes weren’t a valid reason for canceling. Fortunately we managed to cancel the booking via our own bank. We booked intoThe Haven nearby which cost a tiny bit more and was utterly fantastic.
