Location

The hotel is located at Jalan Raja DiHillir, just a few minutes from the North-South Highway interchange into Ipoh City. It is some 190 km from Penang, about 2 hours and 15 minutes' drive, and 220 km from Kuala Lumpur, about 2 hours and 30minutes' drive. The Darul Ridzuan Museum is around an hour away by car, and the hot springs at Tambun are some 25-minutes from the hotel.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 265 rooms. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The hotel offers a number of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. Everyday necessities can be purchased at the supermarket. Children can enjoy the playground. Parking facilities available to guests include a garage (no extra charge) and a car park. Other services include a 24-hour security service, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. A business centre with fax machine and projector is available.

Rooms

The outdoor pool complex includes a children's swimming area and is ideal for working out or just relaxing. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation.     Calm rhythm and surprisingly great gym

    There was something very easy about staying here - not in a flashy way, but in how naturally everything fit into our days. We went to Ipoh Stables Market once, just on a whim, and it turned into a nice little outing without any planning.What I didn’t expect to enjoy this much was the gym. It feels like a separate, fully thought-out space rather than just a couple of machines in a corner. Spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable to move around in – it actually made you want to come back again, even during a short stay. It gave a sense of routine and balance, which is rare when traveling with kids.The overall atmosphere in the hotel is light and modern, with a freshness that you notice right away. The kids had their own small corner in the play area, while I appreciated those quiet moments to reset.The only small thing is that you’re not right in the middle of everything, but in a way that’s exactly what makes the stay feel calmer and more personal.

    The hotel worked well from a practical standpoint. Its central position meant Old Town was about a 10-minute drive, which made planning outings straightforward without being caught in heavy traffic. The surrounding area felt noticeably calmer, which helped with rest after a full day out.Our family room was particularly well designed – large, properly laid out, and with a clear separation of space that made it comfortable to manage daily routines. The recent renovation shows in the overall condition: clean lines, modern finishes, and everything functioning as expected.Parking was another strong point, with direct access from the building and no hassle finding a spot. The only minor drawback was that the kids’ play area is quite limited, so it works more as a short activity option rather than a full play space.     Quiet hotel with potential

    We stayed two nights and had mixed feelings. The hotel is located in a very quiet area outside of old town, but close enough to get Grab to take us everywhere. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The staff were all friendly and helpful when we had questions. The room is big and spacious, but it's spacious because it lacks the necessary furniture to put anything in. There are no drawers to put our clothes. Like another guest mentioned, there were only 2 hangers. There was no hairdryer in the room, so I called the front desk. The gentleman asked me to check here and there, including the cabinet next to the TV. The thing is, there isn't any cabinet next to the TV. Everything is open, and there's hardly any storage. Eventually, he sent housekeeping up with a hairdryer. The bathroom is not user-friendly at all. First, there's no hand towel or hand towel hanger next to the sink. There were only two bath towels, so after you wash your hands, you have to bring your drippy hands over the toilet to wipe them on the bath towel. The only place to put your toiletries is a narrow counter. The shower divider glass was not wide enough to prevent water from splashing out when you shower. The floor mat was soaked in water after each shower as a result. There's no hair conditioner provided, yet there's nowhere inside the shower stall to put your own toiletries. We hope the hotel will improve.
