Location

This hotel lies right on the historical beach of Batu Ferringhi, on the north coast of the island of Penang, with idyllic views over Batu Ferringhi Bay. Just north of the equator, Penang is a tropical paradise with breathtaking beauty, and offers a fascinating natural heritage and friendly, hospitable people. The centre of George Town and the shopping Mecca of Gurney Plaza are just 18 km away, 20 minutes by car or bus, while Bayan Lepas International Airport is only 33 km to the south, a quick 45-minute car ride away.

Facility

The resort has a lift and features 366 rooms and 80 suites. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The complex has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Rooms

Rooms feature a kitchen and a bathroom, and air conditioning ensures just the right temperature. In most units, guests can enjoy a view of the sea from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Comfortable sun loungers are available on the terrace. The resort offers an extensive outdoor sports programme, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis, volleyball and basketball. With jet skiing, banana boat rides and sailing available, the complex also caters to water sports enthusiasts. Sports enthusiasts are also offered a wide range of indoor activities, including a gym, table tennis, billiards, squash and aerobics. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a beauty salon and massage treatments. Subject to charge: a steam bath. Leisure facilities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club and live music.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a non-smoking restaurant, a café and a bar. A wide variety of dishes are served at all three main mealtimes. Guests can enjoy lunch and dinner as a set menu.

    Dear Mr De Souza,I am writing to wish my utmost appreciation and satisfaction for all the arrangements made by your staff, Ms Esther Cheong for my Aunt’s Chinese Tea Mikhalash Wedding Celebration held on 3rd of June 2026 at Marco Polo Restaurant.Ms Cheong answered my queries and replied patiently since March 2026 when we began messaging each other on WhatsApp until finally getting the contract signed and paid in late May 2026. She also accommodated add-on noodle dish for the night with last minute notice.I hope you give her recognition for the great service she and her team gave to us that night.Thank you.     It is certainly showing its age…but a wonderful staff nonetheless

    The location of the hotel was really great…walking distance to various shops, eateries and massage shops. Plus within easy Grab access of entipia, escape and the national park.The staff were very nice esp at the bar, towel hut and breakfast.Food was good…we enjoyed breakfast and lunch by the pool.Drinks prices were high…even compared with fancier hotels.The bar was shut for 2 nights which isn’t really acceptable.The room was spacious and had what we needed but certainly showing signs of wear and tear.The biggest highlight for us was the beautiful pool which which we so enjoyed.     Another great experience

    We thoroughly enjoyed another great holiday at Bayview beach resort, over 3 weeks.Staff as usual ultra friendly, food very good, room maintained well with lovely views over the gardens and sea. Sadly some coastal erosion has seen the beach outside washed away at points, but beach and sea access is still available.The gardens, which are extensive are well maintained with plenty of seating their and around the pool area. It's great watching the monkey troop come through occasionally.It's a relatively short stroll to the shops, cafes, night market (6 minutes).We understand the Hotel has new owners and is potentially closing later this year for a major refurbishment and upgrade. Some of which is probably overdue. We wish all the staff well for the future and thank them and the brilliant Management team for some amazing stays and memories.     Memorial to my late husband

    I came here as a memorial to my late husband, it wasnt an easy trip, we came here 9 years ago, the staff here are awesome, nothing was too much trouble, if you have an issue tell them straight away, looking forward to coming back , General Manager at Bayview Beach Resort, responded to this review We are delighted to welcome you back after your last stay 9 years ago.We look forward to your return again for another memorable stay again

    Outstanding experience at the Bayview Beach Resort

    The hotel could not have done more for us. We were initially delayed in travelling due to an immigration issue and the hotel kindly allowed cancellation and refund of the booking. We rebooked the hotel and on arrival, were given a room upgrade as it was my wife's birthday. The hotel is in a good location with an excellent pool , beachfront access and walking distance to the night market and food outlets. Breakfast is very good with varied western and asian choices. Restaurant also offers a good menu at reasonable prices. Family room was very comfortable, older design, however clean bathroom and living areas, comfortable beds, good sized bathroom including a separate bath and shower enclosure with good lighting and pleasant views from the balconies. A gym and games areas are also available. Staff were very friendly and helpful in all areas.
