    Clean and affordable hotel in the middle of George Town. Definitely value for money. The rooms are clean with attached bathroom and toilet, reasonable size with central air-conditioning. Guests can have buffet breakfast, lunch or dinner at Wembley Cafe, located in the adjoining hotel, St Giles.Multi-storey free car park is available for guests.For seniors like myself, why would I want to pay for a swimming pool, a gym and other recreational facilities? The first impression guests remember are the check-in lobby and the frontline staff.I stayed at the hotel many times over the past few years and always impressed by the front office staff courtesy, smiling faces and helpfulness. I don't usually name names but this time I will.The exemplary front line staff are Thillai, Umairah, Karthi and Eric Chua.Thank you to the four for making my stay a happy one.     Very functional room, spotless clean with everything I need. Standard twin not large but it's ok. I particularly like the air conditioning which is cool and quiet. 25 mins cab from airport when my flight arrived at midnight 12am. Two decent shopping malls nearby. One can reach Komtar tower in 3 mins walk. There're no restaurants in the hotel but eating is not a problem as there are street food and eateries around. I took buffet breakfast in Jen Hotel and St Glies Hotel nearby. Bed comfy and I had a good rest. There's an empty jar for filling water in the lift lobby each floor instead of plastic bottle water. This arrangement is good for environmental friendliness. Service ok. I got a room on highest floor (22/F) with good views as I requested.     Surprisingly comfortable and good for the price

    We stayed here for 3 nights as one of us is having a seminar at the adjacent hotel ballroom and we have to admit we were quite surprised that the room is very comfortable, well kept and clean given the price that we were paying. Also, the hotel is centrally located at the heart of Georgetown and that says, food and shopping areas are just a stone throw away providing much convenience to those without a car.     This is a good property located , conveniently in the heart of George town. The check in lady and the FO executive Mr Surendran, both were very welcoming and helpfulThe rooms are pretty small however perfect for an over night stay. There are lot of food options down the street and even a very big mall nearby. The rooms and wash rooms are neat and tidy.     AVERAGE HOTEL AND SMALL HOTEL ROOM BUT GOOD LOCATION

    It is a group tour where we had our retreat & the organiser chose this hotel for us to stay due to budget.The room is small which is 14 sqm. It is conveniently located inside Georgetown & can easily access to many places of interests, food & shopping malls. It is linked to St. Giles Wembley Penang Hotel so you can walk through it to access to the shopping malls & food nearby. The housekeeping is average however they are quite fast to act on it if you need their service. They do not really clean up the table & side tables with some stains on them. They also did not wash the cup after I had used it. One of my team members' room was not cleaned after the previous guests had checked out & the hotel did not check & assigned the room to them. Fortunately the hotel arranged another room & upgraded for them immediately. I feel the housekeeping need to be improved generally. The amenities provided are basic & they only provide hair dryer, disposable bathroom slippers, shampoo, body wash, disposable toothbrushes & toothpaste, disposable shower cap & disposable sanitary bag. They do not have hair conditioner. So for ladies, it is best you bring your own hair conditioner as I forgot to bring mine. There is one flaw design of the bathroom where the water will seep through the door & the whole floor will be wet even the bathroom floor mat cannot absorb all the water. The door design should be behind the kerb & not on top of the kerb. The door rubber is unable to deter the water seeping through the door. It is a bad design.The bed is quite ok to sleep & the pillows are not too soft. The TV has very poor reception so the TV programs are not very clear. There is not much sound proof in the room as I could hear hotel guests speaking at the common corridor. They provide breakfast but the food & choice of selection were not fantastic. I advise to eat out as there many coffeeshops & shopping malls nearby to eat their local famous food like char kway teow, wanton noodles, assam laksa, fried egg oyster, prawn noodles, chendol & more. The check out service was quick & efficient but the concierge service for the luggage was slightly slower as due to lack of manpower & also we were in a big group of 60 people. Overall it was a short stay for us for 3 days 2 nights so I did not expect much as we were out most of the time for team bonding. If for personal travelling, I will not consider this hotel.
