    The ambiance was fantastic, the people where more than great the only little challenge is the serounding area…It is not the nicest…but the mansion makes you forget that immidiatly…

    This is a beautiful oasis in the middle of Little India. Lots of people walking by taking photos of the pretty facade but as a guest you get to step beyond the glass door and into the inner atrium. Its peaceful and quite simple. We were well cared for by each of the staff we encountered.     East Indies Mansion was an absolute delight. The building's original architectural details are lovingly preserved, and our Clove 1 & 2 rooms were full of local, cultural touches that made the stay feel genuinely connected to the city's heritage.The staff were warm, attentive, and impressively versatile, checking us in and making our breakfast the next morning with equal care. Fewer amenities than a typical hotel, but the helpful service and unbeatable location right in the heart of Georgetown more than make up for it!     Elegant historical oasis in Georgetown

    One of the most enjoyable stays I've had in long time. The East Indies Mansion is beautifully renovated and the elegant decor and atmosphere were truly enjoyable. It really felt like an oasis to walk in to the coolness of the inner courtyard. We stayed in the Anistar 2 room and it was comfortable, spacious and very peaceful. Very quiet even in the bustle of central Georgetown. Also very tastefully decorated, well-maintained and perfectly clean.We were impressed by the little hospitality touches - nightly turndowns, thoughtful amenities, and extremely polite and professional front desk staff. Finally, we loved learning the history of the founder of the house Koh Lay Huan and his role in the early development of Georgetown. Truly a unique experience to stay in a little part of history.
