    Simple comforts that made the stay easy

    There was a nice sense of ease throughout the stay, especially with how the hotel spaces are designed. Everything feels bright, clean, and calm, which made it comfortable to settle in right away.The kids immediately loved the pool — ours was located on the same floor, so it was incredibly convenient to just walk over whenever they felt like swimming. That small detail made a big difference during the stay.Mornings were also something to look forward to. Breakfast had a wide variety, from local options to things like bri cheese and smoked salmon, but the highlight was definitely the soft-serve ice cream machine — it turned into a daily ritual for the kids.If anything, the hotel feels more quiet and structured than a resort, but for a short family stay it actually worked in our favor.     Efficient layout and well-planned facilities

    From a practical perspective, the hotel works well for a short family stay. Its immediate proximity to Queensbay Mall (around a 3–5 minute walk) simplifies daily logistics, while getting around the island by car is straightforward — we easily reached different parts of Penang, including Georgetown, Kek Lok Si Temple, several trekking spots, and Muzium & Galeri Tuanku Fauziah.The suite-style room layout is a strong advantage: a separate living area, additional bathroom, and a proper workspace make the space more functional and easier to organize as a family. It feels closer to a compact serviced apartment than a standard hotel room.Another well-executed element is the club lounge. It provides a quiet space to reset during the day with coffee and light refreshments, and in the evening offers a good selection of snacks during cocktail hours, all with a view over the city and Queensbay.     Good location but breakfast disappointingly poor

    It was a long since I visited the island and even a longer time since I last stayed at this hotel. Nothing major changed except this time my booking included the Executive Lounge and breakfast for my one-night stay.The executive lounge was surprisingly small and while there’s a small selection of food, the taste was average except the Vietnamese spring rolls which I quite enjoyed.The bar items in the room were complimentary though it was limited, it was a welcome inclusion for me. The room was well kept and the bed comfortable although I kept waking to the loud noise of fire crackers in the wee hours as the locals celebrated the fifteenth day of the Lunar New Year.The breakfast was where it disappointed me as I remembered that while it wasn’t great in the past but it was still enjoyable that time. Now the offerings were boring and taste far from nice especially the soybean curd which was supposed to be sweet, tasted sour. The number of items had reduced compared to the past and some food were over-cooked. I hoped it’s a one-off incident.The hotel is popular for its location beside the shopping mall as well as near to the airport and the large industrial area.Unless the hotel improves the breakfast offerings, I will likely choose to stay at other nearby hotels which had sprung up during the past couple of years.     Nice enough hotel

    We stayed here one night 6th November 2025. I found it hard to understand what the receptionist said, but we were upgraded to a suite. Unfortunately, because my plane was delayed by 11 hours, we only had half a day to enjoy it. The separate sitting room was large and there was also a toilet attached. The bedroom had a TV and a piece of furniture, that it stood on. The sitting room had another TV, sofa and table and chair. There was a coffee making machine, a kettle and various hot drinks. Unfortunately, the tea bags provided were Lipton Yellow Label, which has no right to call itself tea! The air con was fiercely efficient. The WiFi worked well and I was getting about 25mbps. There was a lot of noise from planes at the nearby airport. I slept OK. The bed was comfortable.The bathroom had a large walk in shower and a bath with overhead shower. A fancy toilet too. The toiletries were ok. The sink had a plunger which didn’t really retain water, which is a waste when trying to wet shave. The hot water took an inordinately long time (think minutes) to run through, in both sinks.We had access to the executive lounge which we used for breakfast. The lounge was empty, but I assume because we were a little late. The breakfast buffet was sparse, to say the least. You had to ask for juice, which appeared to the nectar variety. There was a short cook to order menu. All in all, I think the standard buffet breakfast in the main restaurant is probably better.We would probably stay here again.     The Hotel is very nice and comfortable, but most importantly their staff is super friendly. Azura, who is always present at the breakfast buffet is one of the most friendly and professional staff I have met. Always kind and attentive.
