Location

The hotel is strategically located in the Tanjung Bungah area with a pristine white-sand beachfront. It is only a short drive away from the hawker food paradise of Gurney Drive and the shopping haven of Gurney Plaza, Island Plaza, Times Square, Prangin Mall and, not to forget, the famous Batu Ferringhi Walk (night market), which can be reached in 10 minutes by car. Penang International Airport is situated some 30 km away.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 250 rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. Services such as a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Children can enjoy the playground. Rooms

    Not the Hospitality that we Expected

    We went as a group of 12 and the experience was not good. Most of the rooms didn't have hot water and when asked, the staff mentioned "they have shut it down to save costs" What an answer! Even if they have done it, they should keep quiet, apologize and turn the hot water on. The reception staff never smiles and when informed of our maintenance issues, they ask us to inform the Maintenance Department?? Why do they have a Reception?We wanted to have dinner at the hotel, which wasn't cheap but then we asked them if we could have some drinks at the pool before dinner and they wanted nearly $100 for corkage! The bottle cost us a bit more than that and their request was that we finish our dinner by 10pm, the latest. Guess they didn't want our business!We found a lovely restaurant just crossing the road from the hotel and we had a great time in a private air conditioned room with our bottle. The food was great and the prices were very reasonable. The breakfast buffet was very mediocre with very limited items but the taste wasn't too bad. Will I recommend this hotel? NO, for the simple reasons that the response is very slow and they don't even try to rectify the issues. We never wanted anything for free but to look into the matters that we had in our rooms and a quick response.

    Hotel Needs to Improve Currency Exchange Transparency and Service

    I recently stayed at your hotel in March 2026, and I would like to share my feedback regarding my experience, as there were a few aspects that I found quite disappointing.Currency Exchange Process: Upon arrival, I exchanged money at the reception, but I was surprised by the exchange rate, which seemed lower than expected. Additionally, I was informed that only amounts of $100 or above could be exchanged, while smaller notes were not allowed. However, I noticed that this important condition was not clearly stated on your exchange rate board, which caused some confusion. Transparency in these terms would have been appreciated.No Exchange Receipt: Unlike my previous experience at other hotels (such as the DoubleTree Hilton), I was not given a receipt for the currency exchange, nor was I provided any documentation or written confirmation of the exchange rate used. The receptionist verbally communicated the exchange rate, but I would have preferred a formal receipt for clarity and record-keeping purposes. I find it unusual for a hotel not to provide this, as it is a standard practice in the hospitality industry.Room Comfort: While the room itself was generally fine, I found the air conditioning to be less effective than expected. It wasn’t as cool as I would have hoped, which made my stay less comfortable than it could have been.I believe that a hotel of your standard should offer a more transparent and consistent experience, especially when it comes to financial transactions and guest comfort. I hope my feedback is taken into consideration to improve these areas for future guests.

    Really disappointed with the whole experience! They do not cater for any allergies! Staff hardly spoke or understood English. Various fittings in the room had seen better days. Although we had (and paid) a booking for 5 people, they only provided 4 breakfast as being included within the booking and we had to pay extra for the 5th breakfast. Although concierge were standing at the reception, they became scarce the moment a guest arrived and we could see majority lugging their own luggage. Really disappointed! The price tag definitely does not justify the service provided.

    Just awful nothing like the pictures and definitely not a 4 star 2 star at the most it was so disappointing I wanted to cry we had paid for 5 nights booked another and left after 2 hours loosing a lot of money and booked another hotel 4star The Granite which is amazing took it up with booking.com for false advertisement but they are not interested. We arrived here after being stranded in Malaysia due to the war and 3 cancelled flights we decided we needed a breath of fresh air along the sea front when we arrived the staff are lovely can’t take that away from them but the hotel is run down the room which had been refurbished was very basic and poorly done and as for the pool area the pool was in poor state the sun loungers were dirty and some broken the beach had no loungers on and you couldn’t go in the sea because of jelly fish and the last straw was bugs on the bed after that we decided we would rather loose the money even though we couldn’t really afford it rather than stay Also quite a run down area with nothing around Please avoid if like us you are expecting a 4 star experience
