  Just expect a clean bed for a transit budget hotel. The room was small and clean, but no toilet paper, no hand towel. If you call the reception, they don't answer. Since our room included breakfast, we asked if you could get something packed, as we had to leave by 7:15Am, but they said no. If you reach late, don't expect a parking.

  Mosquitoes breeding ground

  Mosquitoes were everywhere and lots of them. They were mosquitoes inside the bedrooms and event rooms. Place were run down. Bathroom hardly can move around despite me taking the family room to avoid cramp up room even though there's only 2 of us. You need to fight with the bathroom door to move around. You have to ask for toilet paper each day otherwise they won't provide.

  2 Star Hotel Gives 5 Star Convenience

  I booked cheapest Standard Room with Queen sized bed and non smoking room Cheaper on Agoda than walk in prices.Room is small but with thought out spaces. Has a cupboard, bag table and dressing table. Also has enough space for another luggage or two. TV lacks channels but more than suffice. Bathroom has always working water heater, sink, toilet and steel bar to hang towels or clothes. Soap dispenser accessible from toilet as I'm tall. Also has enough empty space on bathroom to change clothes, convenient if you are sharing rooms with coworkers etc. You can place your clothes on the multiple steel bars. Water pressure was strong on Friday, got average and acceptable on Saturday to Monday, I suspect due to many hotel guests. 5th floor gets hot in the morning and daytime as it faces sunrise. However as long as aircond is on, you don't feel the heat. Only when I come back to room in middle of the day does it become a slight bother until aircond cools the room.Breakfast is buffet style with limited menu. 3 days and theres always, carbs either rice or noodles, protein usually sausages, fried eggs everyday, selected fruits and bread with jam. Also has refillable coffee, tea, cordial juice and plain water. Hotel has own open air parking space free for hotel guests. Great convenience when finding public parking is quite a hassle in the area as there are other hotels in the vicinity.Hotel has a 7 Eleven and KFC along the same stretch, also a convenience. Also, just go straight up north (go right when i front of hotel) along the Bagan Road infront of hotel to about 4.4km to find Perniagaan Oren area. Has a Tesco, 24hrs McDonalds and KFC, and most importantly a 24hrs self service laundry. I got my laundry done here and ate at the fast food joint.Hotel is in front of Dewan Dato Ahmad Badawi, and a stretch of small field big enough for football.Hotel also within walking distance to the famous #ButterworthArtWalk . Has a couple of chinese kopitiams (cafe) if you need to sit down, relax and enjoy the atmosphere.There's also a famous Nasi Kandar near the end of the road of the hotel stretch that's open from 11pm to 4am. Always a long queue but supposedly delicious.Hotel staff are always friendly, they respond quickly to requests such as refilling breakfast buffet etc.Some minor inconveniences but for the price I paid about usd$19 a night, can't complain.Convenience everywhere that if I need to come to Penang again, I would most definitely return

  I am requested non smoking room with front view..I hv 9yrs old kids with me however upon arrival the front office staff didn't greeting us as guest but busy with duty roaster with their superior.ive remind her regarding room preference..she is aware.checked in process takes more than 15min.... after enter my room..room is strongly smelly & for sure she gimme smoking room bcoz the ashtray on the side desk n also she gimme back view.ive tried to call to reception but the fon doesn't work. Overall services is very poor.they need more front liner training even though 2star hotel.

  A cozy inn located 5mins from Penang Sentral. Good location and quiet especially on weekends and night time. The room is average in size for standard room but the bedding is truly 5 star hotel quality, gives a very comfortable night sleep ( 5 star bed for one star price). Car park is open air and ample next to the hotel. Not many eateries around, but head towards Raja Uda area (around 10 mins drive), a food 'heaven'.
