    The staff are pleasant, and the breakfast is OK with fried rice, omlets, watermelon, salad, toast, baked beans, Chinese porridge, and mabe a couple other items, but there are no breakfast cereals or milk, only powdered creamer for the coffee. I found the room to be dark, dismal and depressing. I think the whole hotel needs a massive rennovation. We wouldn't stay again.

    Good location but the room was small. The bathroom gets wet as the shower curtain is a foot short of the floor. Be careful of the price per night as it increases on the weekend. Breakfast was ok, but no cereals and no milk for hot drinks, just powdered milk. I got the impression that the hotel was a bit mean. I would not book it again.

    Great Value for a Reasonable Stay in a Handy Location

    A good 3 night stay but the bathroom and darkness of the room made us decide to move elsewhere. The room was nice, comfortable bed (though a bit in the hard side), storage, kettle, fridge etc but very dark as there were unmovable shutters on the window. We propped the door open if there during the day. The balcony was great but no seating to sit and enjoy. The bathroom was let down by the poor location of the drain - using the shower flooded the entire floor. Staff very friendly & helpful as also in the associated ‘Auction Room’ Café which served lovely coffee/matcha and cakes. We didn’t try the breakfast buffet or a la carte so can’t comment on that aspect. Great location for exploring Georgetown!

    Fantastic location, but you get what you pay for

    The Kimberly hotel in George Town, Penang was in a fantastic location. It was within walking distance to a main shopping centre, "the top sky walk", many hawkers markets, and street art. The rooms at the Kimberly were rather small and cosy. The bathroom was tiny to the point the toilet was nearly in the shower and there was mould growing on the shower curtain. Overall, if you are after a hotel just for somewhere to sleep at night and store your luggage this is a great option. But if you are after somewhere you can relax for the day I'd recommend spending a bit more money and going for a more expensive hotel.

    great location service 5 star.this small hotel in the heart of busy penang is a real winner.staff are excellent and nothing a problem.the auction cafe where breakfast is served is great with the same 5 star service.i found the room the oriental suite comfortable clean and the verandah great at night looking over the roof tops of georgetown.ideal property for a short stay
