  Do not stay at this dirty smelly hotel.

  As I entered the hotel reception I noticed a bad smell and knew I was t going to enjoy my stay here as there was rubbish on the floor where the bins hadn’t been emptied. I checked in went to my room in the lift which was also dirty and smelly, when I entered my room I found the room floor and bathroom dirt with hair all over the floors where it hadn’t been cleaned properly. The kettle, fridge and tv also did not work because of the faulty plug sockets. I immediately went back to reception and they said if I was not happy I could leave and get a full refund. Today I only received 50% refund from Agoda which I am not happy about. You can check out the dirty pictures of the room on my google review. Unless you are really desperate do not stay at this hotel and choose The Chulia Mansion hotel for £5 more. Absolutely disgusting.   feel sorry for the owner..did a walkin was charge 215 incl dep..checkout the bill was charge the online bookin rate..75..beware when you do a walkin..makesurw require a deposit receipt..reception scam and con..with all the holy words hanging sorry for the owner.

  The worst staying in my life

  I stayed during for 2 nights here, first I arrived the hotel it looks very far from online channels, not first impression in the beginning. The room I got was very very dirty, there was hairs , bed sheet & pillows were dirty and old like used them like years and never changed, everything was dirty. Of course I didn’t expect if comparing with 3 ,4 stars but this was too much to take , you can’t to be new I know but the cleanliness is very important. Towels are not provided if didn’t asked for, then I asked to change the room. The new room didn’t even different from the first one, the wall were painted with color and fingerprint. The receptionist asked me to speak English even I was speaking English with her. She isn’t friendly at all. The staff don’t good in English. One day before leaving I asked them if anyone there due to i need to checkout early morning and they said yes there is someone there in the morning. 7. 20 AM still no one…..many things more to say👎🏼

  I dont recommend this hotel It is because when I just entered the room and saw a lot of hair near the floor that was not cleaned, the air conditioner was not cold and there was a lot of damage. I’m very not recommended this hotel . Another thing is that the service is very slow and getting into the room is also slow

  Horrendous Experience at Georgetown Hotel, Penang

  The whole experience was terrible. The reception was terrible. Flirting with a Bangla worker in front of guest. Spoke Tamil in front of guest. Required RM50 deposit whereby I have already paid the full amount via Agoda. The Indian reception girl was busy talking oh her mobile and asked the Bangla worker who was just a cleaner to deal with me. Asking me RM52 in cash for the deposit. I asked if I could be via card and he said No. Feeling exhausted after a long journey from KL, all I wanted to do was to be in my room to have a shower. When I reached the room, no towels were present. I went down again asking for my towels, and the Bangla guy told me to come at 10.00pm. I demanded I get my towels now and asked for my deposit receipt.
