  Wow what a great hotel right on the beach , it’s rated 3 star but it should be a 5 star , from the staff to the rooms it was one the the best places I have found in the last 20 years vacationing in Brazil , there food at there restaurant is great , prices at the restaurant was also great , the town offers dinings also. The beach is a excellent calm water and great for little children, This resort would cost over 800 a night in the USA , coming from America and using USA money was the best deal .

  It is not a luxury hotel, but the room has all the basics. They provide crib and plastic tub for babies. Staff is efficient, except for some waiters at lunch time. Breakfast and dinner included in the room rate are both good enough, although breakfast should start at 6 am (instead of 7 am), because the sun rises at 5 am. So there are lots of guests waiting for the breakfast to start, because they have been up early, specially those with young children. The best thing about the hotel is its location on a great beach, with transparent warm light green water, most of the time without waves, so perfect for swimming, stand up paddle and for small children to have fun.

  You'd think that a hotel with this structure would have upgraded their a/c systems to split units, but alas no, the Village Barra Hotel still has the old, noisy, inefficient and clunky wall units.Nice beachfront. Other than that, overall bureaucratic service, architecture and breakfast.Not memorable.

  This hotel is situated in Maceio (north of Brazil). The hotel is not near the centre but it's wonderful if you're looking for a beautiful, pleasant, quiet place. It's ideal if you have children. There's a young lady who entertains children and there's a special place where they can draw, paint, watch movies or read books. There are also elements for the children to play in the beach or in the pool. The hotel has an excellent service, a bar next to the pool and steps from the beach. There's chemist's in front of the hotel and a tiny centre around. The hotel is next to one of the best beaches that Maceio has...GUNGA BEACH.

  Awesome view!

  I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with my wife. We decided to chose the Deluxe room, since it has a beach view and a big balcony. It was awesome. I guess it is one of the only hotels directly at the beach. We did not have to cross any street or go to any bar to get food/drinks. We stayed at the hotel the whole time. The service was also very nice.Since directly at the beach (on the sand) it is very hot, we stayed at the terrace with chairs etc. This was really good, because my wife is very sensitive if it's too hot.Once we got out of cigarettes and one of the employees was so kind and bought us some, during his break. We were were happy about that. :)The food was good, but not excellent. I guess there would be better options.Resuming it was a great stay. The price is high for that city, but totally worth it.
