  Everything about this holiday was absolutely unreal from start to finish, the staff are the kindest most welcoming staff ever who go above and beyond and the place is just paradise no other words for it. We stayed in 2 different rooms and the water villas are 100% worth it if you’re able to. Best holiday ever 🐬🌺🐠✨🌅🌊🦈🌴💗

  Visited in June 25 for our 35th wedding anniversary. From start to finish was absolutely amazing, staff, food, beach front 1st week, overwater Villa 2nd week. Warm crystal seas, plenty of sealife about. We would highly recommend for couples wanting a little piece of Paradise and will be revisiting again.

  Our two-week stay at Riu Atoll was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the resort impressed us with its immaculate condition — both the hotel and all public areas were maintained to an exceptionally high standard. Service throughout all food and beverage outlets was consistently outstanding.What truly elevated the experience was the remarkable staff. Always warm, professional, and attentive, they went above and beyond to ensure every guest felt comfortable and genuinely cared for. Special recognition goes to Pasi, Tori, and Singhe at the Pool Bar, as well as Rahman, Peri, Marche, and Nandana at the Sports Bar. Their attention to detail was exemplary — from offering footstools to carefully setting tables and anticipating guests’ needs with quiet efficiency.The Sports Bar delivered excellent service and superb coffee, though the snack selection became somewhat repetitive over time.The Italian restaurant stood out for both its high-quality cuisine and attentive service; a particularly thoughtful moment was when a team member proactively offered to contact the Front Office to assist with Wi-Fi access — a small gesture that reflected the resort’s service culture.The buffet restaurant offered an impressive variety of dishes with excellent service throughout all meal periods.The steakhouse, while pleasant, felt average compared to the rest of the dining experience, and a wider selection of steak options would have been welcome.Our room was spacious, cleaned daily, and the minibar was reliably replenished.The beach was beautiful and well maintained; however, water shoes are recommended, as minor cuts can occur when entering the water.The entertainment was of a very high standard, with highlights including the White Party, Flower Party, and a fantastic live music band that performed several times during our stay.The only issue we encountered was the Wi-Fi connection, which at times was unreliable. Aside from this minor inconvenience, our experience was outstandingOverall, Riu Atoll delivered a truly refined and memorable holiday experience, combining excellent facilities, thoughtful service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

  After a cancelled honeymoon cruise early Jan 2026, we quickly booked a 10 night stay and luckily managed to get an overwater bungalow. Long day travelling but how it’s worth it! Room was ready immediately after a late morning check in and WOW!! From the lovely greeting off the boat the tone was set. Every member of staff smiles, exudes limitless courtesy and professionalism and cannot do enough for you. Accommodation is stunning, choice of food and drinks amazing and the whole island is fabulous. We never got to the pool area as spent most days up around the sandbar and house reef then back onto our over water balcony for sunset and evening strolls around the lagoon. Sea life is spectacular from Eagle Rays, White Tip reef sharks and incredible Stingrays and the snorkelling around the house reef is pure joy.Apologies haven’t remembered all names but special shout out to ThaNey, Shahul, Peri, Suarez and Chandima. Our room attendant, Vimukthi, is an absolute star and cannot thank him enough for the beautiful ‘honeymoon’ welcome…always smiling and such a nice guy.I also arranged a beach dinner for my wife and I and that was beyond spectacular.My only disappointment is that it’s taken me over 4 months to finally write this review.Delighted to say we’ve already rebooked for Jan 2027 so looking forward to seeing all those amazing people once more.Many thanks for the amazing memories!!

  We returned back to the uk Wednesday night , after 10 nights at Riu Atoll, went to celebrate my birthday.What an amazing holiday, would highly recommend!!Make sure you have camera/phone at the ready as you fly from Male to your island the views of other islands is stunning! From the moment we got on the island it was faultless, drink on arrival, a cold flannel to freshen up, taken by buggie to our villa, decorated on our bed with palm tree leaves and flowers welcoming us to riu atoll.Fantastic choice of food in the main restaurant, never a problem to ask for a freshly cooked egg, pancakes, waffles at breakfast. Food is always being freshly cooked, For quite a fussy eater, I was stuffed at every meal, so much to choose from, I’m now a converted fish eater 😃! Chocolate fountain in the evening is a plus too! We went to the Steakhouse and Sophia’s twice each, lovely food, great choice at Sophia’s for starters and dessert as that’s a buffet.Staff, where do you start!! The whole place is kept spotless Everyone of them greets you with a hello and a big smile 😃 From the man that rakes the sand in the mornings, gardeners are always around clearing up anything that has dropped, cleaners of the toilets that burn incense sticks that smell lovely as you walk in (always someone there) cleaners of your room (same man in our stay, which was lovely as we got to know him) cleaners of the pool area, towel man to the bar staff after the first day knew our names and what we wanted to drink as soon as you arrived to them, the restaurant staff are fantastic so friendly, knew after the first visit where we would prefer to sit, which was the closest to the view of the beach/sea. We would like to do a special mention to Thaney (he asked us to call him Ty) was so attentive, caring, thoughtful and made sure we were ok every time we went into the restaurants, a fantastic man!! The evening entertainment was very good live bands most nights we especially enjoyed White night and Flower Night, where virtually everyone came dressed in white or something with flowers on, lots of dancing.We went to sunset DJ everyday to have a drink or two 😃, to listen to some great music on the beach and watch the sun go down.The views around the island are stunning, yes paradise! walk/swim in the crystal clear sea. Go to reception in the evening to the end of the jetty, where the sea is lite up to see all the fishes including stingrays, rainbow fishes, black tip sharks.The swim up bar is fantastic to sit in the pool with a drink, plenty of sunbeds everywhere around the island.🏝️ A fantastic experience, thank you to all staff for making our holiday a remarkable holiday !!
