Rooms

Guests can enjoy a wide range of indoor sports, including a gym, table tennis, badminton, billiards, darts, yoga and aerobics. Various wellness options are available at the hotel, including a spa, a beauty salon, massage treatments and hydrotherapy treatments. A kids' club and live music are also options for entertainment.

Meals

The hotel features dining services including a restaurant, a café and a bar. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Catering options include half board, full board and all-inclusive. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available.     From arriving, our host Charan gave us a tour, and all the staff at each step of the stay were really kind and helpful; we had a very pleasant experience. The weather was on our side too, with only 1 day of rain in the 7 days we stayed. There was a variety of dining options, and they weren't too bad either, but we were used to better dining here in London, UK. The water sports were really fun and safe. The twice-daily room cleaning was a nice touch, and they surprised as with cakes/chocolates and bed decorations on more than 1 occasion, which was exceptional. The outdoor fine dining experience, which we paid a premium for, was also very nice. The food palette was nice, but since we are of Bangladeshi ethnicity, it wasn't quite what we were used to, but still enjoyable with all the courses. But I don't think I'd be ordering the same menu again. The dessert was the best part. Overall, it was a positive experience. We stayed in an overwater villa with a private pool with a sunrise view, which is an experience you can only get at private resort islands, hence we were prepared to pay the overpriced fees. As this was a 5-star resort, I would like to raise the following room for improvement points.The 10% restaurant discount wasn’t worthwhile due to the hotel’s 10% service fee, 17% charge, and generally overpriced items compared to the mainland. More offers for water sports and fine dining were expected.Two tiles on the bottom step of the private pool came off and were already loose.The toilet tissue holder wasn’t secured or level, causing the roll to fall off at times.Villa keycard stopped working, contacting host via WhatsApp was slow. Main line rang out, we waited outside until buggy passed to take us to reception. A consolidated comms option would have helped.Net speeds were slow at 9 Mbps down / 3 Mbps up. Reporting it, speeds increased to 34/10 Mbps, an eSIM provided 85/18 Mbps, suggesting resort’s network was limited.Some outdoor wooden furniture was worn and needed protection.The shower temperature didn’t match the lever markings and required adjustment.The American pool table in the games room was bowed, and one pocket lining was missing.There was dirt on one of the outdoor side windows of our villa.Dining, water sports, and outdoor fine dining were significantly more expensive than similar off‑island experiences.Friday prayer sermon would have been better in English, or partly in English, since it’s the common language in island Management Radisson Blu Maldives, Owner at Radisson Blu Resort Maldives, responded to this review Dear Valued Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share such a comprehensive and thoughtful review of your recent 7-night stay with us.
