  Perfect solo relaxing stay!

  Great location. Luggage room available, so I could drop my case off before check in and head off for a walk. Room much bigger than expected, spotlessly clean and had everything I needed. Loved having a bath tub and shower! Staff very helpful explaining buses etc when asked and all staff were kind and friendly. Area totally safe for a solo traveller and pool area clean and reasonably priced drinks at the pool bar. Didn’t use spa or gym but both looked inviting. Complimentary use of a shower room to accommodate my late airport pick up also means I can enjoy my final day on a visit to Valletta. Would recommend this lovely hotel for a quiet, relaxing get away!   Disappointing stay

  We had a one bed, on the 3rd floor. It was very tired throughout. The shower cubicle was very small making it difficult to use. The cleanliness levels were average at best, we gave it a better clean on arrival.There was a nasty sewage like smell coming from the bathroom area intermittently throughout our stay that we reported. They tended to it, but they just mask the smell with air freshener and open windows. We asked for a room upgrade on arrival that we were happy to pay for, they said after 2/3 nights there was options to switch.. including a sea view. We went to reception again as requested, the manager says there are no rooms available throughout the remainder of the stay?A disappointing stay, that we would not recommend to others.   dirty, old and tiredthis is a 2 star at best, not a 4cock roaches, broken sliding glass doors that do not lock. i feelpictures have doctored . Pool is across the street,not like what is seen on website pics.   Great family stay with an amazing view and exceptional hotel staff

  We stayed at AX Sunny Coast Resort & Spa from February 8th to 15th and it was a really good choice for our family. The hotel is in a peaceful area right on the coast, which we loved. It’s perfect for families with kids, but if someone is looking for a wild nightlife, they should probably look at a different location, even though you can find some fun nearby if you want it. The logistics are great because the bus stop is right in front and there are grocery stores very close by. Our apartment was on the corner and it was so spacious that we had four balconies. The main one had a beautiful view of the sea and the pools below, and even though the main road is on one side, we didn't have any issues with traffic noise.The apartment had a well-equipped kitchen and they even brought us a microwave when we asked. Since we were traveling with a baby, they provided a cot, a high chair, and a stroller, which made our stay so much easier. We also used the gym, the heated indoor pool, and the jacuzzi that were included in the price. The staff is definitely the best part of this hotel. A huge thanks to Tancila, Ali, Prkas, Parth, and Poulina for being so professional and kind. They handled everything we needed quickly and with such ease. Also, a special shout-out to the handyman, Udeja. He fixed a balcony lock for us and then went around to check all the other balcony doors in the apartment just to make sure everything was safe for us.The only thing we didn't like was the 16:00 check-in time because it’s a bit late when you arrive on an early flight with kids. But overall, the service and the experience were so good that we would definitely come back. Highly recommended for a family holiday.   Great base for exploring Malta.

  We booked our week in February via Jet2. We had a 2 bedroom sea and pool view which was perfect. It was actually like having 3 bedrooms as the sofa in the living area pulled out to a double bed. So both of our teens got a room to themselves.Once we arrived reception gave us 10% off a variety of local restaurants and money off the Aquarium too.We got pool towels from reception and the pool is just a short stroll across the road. A lovely little pool, we also had a few games of squash and used the gym a couple of times. A great little addition to the hotel. Cheeky Monkey and the Latino restaurants were our favourite, visiting Cheeky Monkey twice and the Lation place 3 times. They even provide free dance instructions. Great environment. The rooftop bar Medussa is a must visit. The bar man was very attentive and made the best cocktails ever!!! And the glass straw was so nice to use rather than a paper one!We used Bolt taxi's to explore the Island. Mdina and Rabat were my favourite locations to visit, with Dungeons and Catacombs... and some amazing places to visit to eat. St Julian's is a great place to visit if you enjoy shopping, a lovely walk around the harbour and soaking in the sun can be done in this city too.The Kennedy Memorial Park is just a short walk from the hotel and is a lovely little park with a man made stream with play areas and a cafe.Valletta was also a lovely place to visit but we only did it the once as it was extremely busy. I think some cruise ships had arrived so the footfall of humans was extreme.The Popeye Village was good fun. The set was made for the 1980 film which was before any of us were born but it was all very well looked after and the people who work there are just FAB, Entertaining and Friendly. Would we return. Yes we would, we would make sure to book a 2 bedroom sea view apartment as these seem to be the best rooms in the hotel. Thank you for a great first experience of Malta.
