    Quality boutique hotel in a great location.

    Great location within minutes of the buzzing centre and the tranquil harbour. The hotel is lovely, and old world relaxing as soon as you walk in. We had a superior room with balcony at the front of the hotel (overlooking the French Embassy), but still quiet - to be recommended. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Everything was well appointed and very clean. Nice to have hot breakfast food cooked to order.

    We stayed for a week at the hotel and it was the perfect base for exploring Valletta .Room:The room was a larger double overlooking the internal courtyard. The room was very clean and tidy and the walk in shower was huge. Breakfast: So much to choose. There was a continental breakfast set out with different breads, pastries or cake. Cold meats, cheeses and fruit or cereal so plenty options. Also available were cooked to order breakfast, various cooked eggs, a full breakfast or my favourite Eggs Benedict. That, a caramel latte and the uphill streets of Valletta set up the day.Location: On Melita street, turn left out of the hotel and you can follow the road to the main circular road and have a view of Sliema as you walk. Turn right and it is uphill to the main streets. Shops, cafes and restaurants are all within easy walking. Also the local bus station to get you anywhere around the island.Overview: A great hotel. Excellent staff, all very professional. I highly recommend a visit.     La Falconeria was the first hotel I stayed in Malta and it was a great introduction to Maltese hospitality. Situated in the heart of Valletta it offers a combination of a central location and a peaceful atmosphere.The transit from the airport is easy. The public bus reaches Valletta in about 12 minutes, followed by a 8-minute walk to the hotel. For those preferring ride-shares, Bolt is readily available with wait times of only a few minutes.The front desk team is attentive and welcoming, and the restaurant staff provides an excellent personalized service at breakfast. The buffet breakfast was sufficient for me even without included made-to-order dishes. The hotel restaurant is only open for breakfast. For other meals, there are many options around, including a wonderful Indian place right next door.My room faced the interior courtyard and was wonderfully quiet. While the room was spotlessly clean and highly functional, the decor was standard and plain. There were a few minor housekeeping oversights - the little body lotion bottle looked like it was already used and the sewing kit box was empty. La Falconeria is an ideal choice for travelers who value a central location and impeccable cleanliness. Highly recommended.     Malta-La Valetta - La Falconeria Hotel

    Very good location, in the heart of the old town, however the area is quiet. We chose a slightly more expensive room, with a small balcony, which overlooked the street. There are also rooms without a balcony that have a window overlooking the inner courtyard. Large, modern and clean room, spacious and superiorly equipped bathroom. In the basement of the hotel there is a mini-spa and a fitness room, maintained exemplary. Space being very limited in the old town, the owners did their best to use every little place efficiently.The hotel reception was particularly kind, they helped us with maps and recommendations throughout our stay.We had our breakfast at the hotel restaurant – L’Artiglio - the food is tasty and varied, a-la-carte service.The main street, grocery store and restaurants-cafes-souvenir shops are a 5-minute walk away. Triton Square, Parliament Building, Government Buildings, etc. 10 minutes from the hotel. The bus terminal and Barakka Gardens are 15 minutes away. All the tourist attractions of the old town of Valletta as well as access to the neighboring ports are within walking distance of La Falconeria. The streets in the old town are cobbled and sloping, so some physical condition and sports shoes are required for the approach. In conclusion, La Falconeria is a very good choice for the price we paid and we'll gladly return there on our next visits to Malta.
