Location

The resort is situated on a secluded peninsula on the northern coast of Malta, facing the picturesque islands of Gozo and Comino. It has its own 350 m stretch of coastline comprising a charming, natural sandy beach, a seaside pool and a lido. This is a unique resort designed to harmonise with the surrounding pristine Maltese countryside. It is also in the vicinity of the loveliest beaches in Malta, and the typically Maltese village of Mellieħa, with its shopping centre, bars and restaurants, is only a 5-minute drive away. Malta International Airport is approx. 30 km away.

Facility

The resort welcomes guests in a 4-storey building with a lift and 280 non-smoking rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a TV room and a library. Parking spaces are available to guests travelling by car (for a fee). Other services include medical assistance, a transfer service, room service (for a fee), a laundry service and a hotel shuttle bus. Bicycle storage for a fee is available to guests. There is a bike hire service as well. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a projector.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a queen-size bed and a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror and a telephone are provided. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked.

Sport

On hot days, a refreshing dip in one of the 3 outdoor pools is highly recommended. No matter the weather, guests can always swim a few laps in the indoor pool. The pool area is partially heated and includes saltwater and freshwater pools. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. Those who wish to stay active while on holiday can enjoy on-site tennis. For a fee, cycling/mountain biking is also available. With snorkelling or, for a fee, water skiing, windsurfing, jet skiing, motorboat rides, paddle boating, banana boat rides, canoeing, sailing, kayaking and diving available, fans of water sports have plenty of options to choose from. Sport and leisure options include a gym or, for a fee, table tennis and billiards. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a hammam and a beauty salon. Subject to charge: massage treatments. A casino offers fun and entertainment.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant, a breakfast room and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board, full board and all-inclusive. A delicious and varied buffet awaits guests at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Special meals, including vegetarian dishes, are also available. The resort also offers snacks. The resort offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Myself & my boyfriend stayed here for a week in end May/ early June 2026. We had a great atmosphere. We are so glad that we went with Ramla Bay Resort when booking our trip to Malta. The resort is immaculate, bright and welcoming. The staff were friendly and made sure to attend to everyone. The dietary options were great- plenty of gluten free, vegan options. They have a whole separate menu for plant based options. The pool area was immaculate. The beach was perfect & such a great addition to the hotel. Everything was such great value for what we received. I’m so impressed! Highly recommend.     Please read my OCTOBER REVIEW. The hotel was in the process of rebuilding with bad reviews due to this building work. I said then I would return in MAY…I NOW HAVE!My wife and I have just returned from an excellent two weeks and are pleased to say:THE WORK IS DONE AND THE HOTEL IS NOW COMPLETED, THANK YOU RAMLA BAY RESORT. ONE NEGATIVE: there are no controls on smoking. With the British being the main guest market and mostly NON SMOKING, it might be a good time to look at NON SMOKING AREAS: Bars, Restaurants, Pool Sun-beds and The Beach plus designated Rooms?ONE POSITIVE: The MIDNIGHT SUN-BED BANDITS…Now Banned! Sun-beds are no longer allowed to be reserved. I believe a ‘Time Before’ should be stated i.e. SUN-BEDS ARE NOT TO BE RESERVED BEFORE 11:00AM. And then ONLY when intending to return.My thanks to the excellent NEPALESE Staff who are a credit to the hotel…thank you.     We just returned from a week-long birthday trip from the UK, and honestly, I am baffled as to why this hotel isn’t officially rated 5-star. Everything about our stay was exceptional, and the views from the property were absolutely spectacular!The Room & Birthday TouchSince it was my birthday, the hotel went above and beyond by decorating the room and leaving a lovely birthday cake. It was such a thoughtful touch that started our holiday on the perfect note.The Pools & GymIt is worth noting that the outdoor pools are sea water. My son isn't too fond of salt water, but it wasn't an issue at all because he absolutely loved the indoor pool instead!The only minor downside was the gym for my husband—he felt it could benefit from a few heavier free weights and a bench press or squat rack. But otherwise, the facilities were great.Food & Drink (Shoutout to Parth!)We stayed on a half-board basis, and the food was amazing throughout our stay. A massive highlight was the daily Happy Hour in the lobby. It is incredible value with their buy-one-get-one-free offer! The staff were fantastic, but a special shoutout must go to Parth, who looked after us so well and made our evenings truly memorable.Excursions & ActivitiesIf you stay here, you have to do the Jet Ski Safari with Blue Waves Water Sports. We did it during our stay, and it was an absolute blast—highly recommended!Final Verdict: The Maltese people are incredibly warm and lovely, and the hospitality at this hotel is no exception.
