Location

This hotel is situated in the east of Mauritius, at Belle Mare, near to Palmar Bay. The centre of Flacq is a 15-minute drive from the hotel, and the capital, Port Louis, is an hour's drive. Plaisance-Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International airport is a 45-minute drive from the hotel.

Facility

The resort has a lift and features 298 non-smoking rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The complex has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Rooms

Air conditioning ensures that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. In most units, guests can enjoy a view of the sea from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed or a king-size bed. For a fee, guests can also enjoy water skiing, motorboat rides, paddle boating, canoeing, sailing, water aerobics and aquafit. The resort offers numerous indoor sports, including table tennis, badminton, billiards, darts, yoga and aerobics or, for a fee, a gym. Various wellness options are available at the resort, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a hammam, a beauty salon, massage treatments, anti-ageing treatments and a solarium. The resort offers an entertainment programme for adults (for a fee).

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a non-smoking restaurant, a dining room, a breakfast room, a café, a bar and a pub. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board, full board and all-inclusive. A generous breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between a buffet, à la carte and a set menu. Special meals, including diet meals, are also available. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available. For guests, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included.

    My experience at Ambre was fabulous. The hotel staff were amazing—especially Yannick, Michael, Subham, Nicoletta, and the wonderful ladies at the spa—everyone was friendly, professional, and welcoming. There was a great variety of food, and everything was absolutely delicious.

    Well , we’ve been to quite a few different places as we are in our senior years but this place is outstanding. The staff are so wonderful. The room is tired but adequate. But they are starting renovations which was hardly noticeable! The food is a fusion of Indian /asian. So delicious. With plenty of salads and fruits . You can eat all day, there is always somewhere. The main restaurant is great. It’s not all chips like some places. Special mention to Brinda who was lovely. Always made my partners mint tea and an extra bag. Lovely lady. We went twice to the Italian restaurant. It was lovely to be treated so well. Wonderful atmosphere and lovely food. Have to mention the lovely cocktails from the master Siham He was excellent at producing delicious drinks. And such a lovely guy. One thing that you get used to is the staff asking your room number every time you do something. I suppose they are checking what we are using . Massage was lovely. Very relaxing. Beach is out of this world. You are spoilt for choice where you decide to sunbathe. Chris comes round with his 5 island boat tours. Trust me it’s such a fun day out. Speedboat, music, lots of rum. Monkeys, waterfalls, beautiful beaches and scenery. Pool is chilly but once you get over the shock it’s fine lol… overall it’s been my favourite place I’ve ever been to. Thank you Ambre for a wonderful time. Checking out today sadly !!

    The ambiance of the hotel was so beautiful. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth, professionalism and genuine hospitality that we immediately felt welcomed and valued. Our heartfelt gratitude to:Mrs Nicoletta, Mr Kunal, Mr Ravi and Mr Kushal; their exceptional kindness made our stay truly unforgettable.Bar staffs (Shandish, Jayesh, Dishen, Khushi, Ayush, Aza); they were really friendly and attentive especially with their little concoctions of cocktails.The housekeeping personnels who meticulously ensured that our rooms (114, 154, 155) remained spotless throughout our stay.And we are deeply grateful to all members of staffs, whose efforts made this experience truly cherish-able. What touched us most was the absence of any form of prejudice towards Mauritian residents as it’s very rare to encounter hotels committed to ensuring that local visitors are respected and appreciated at every moment.

    Omg am here at the hotel me and my partner and just had massage at Glow it was amazing and well worth the money Geetan and Khirti was out therapists would highly recommend to anyone coming to Ambre to go to the spa Glow and have a massage there you won’t be disappointed 😊
