Rooms

    Fantastic stay with amazing activities and the best bike coach Khemi!

    The service here is excellent, and every staff member is so warm and welcoming. The resort offers beautiful scenery and a wide variety of activities, such as paddleboarding and cycling. We experienced the morning bike tour, and our coach, Khemi, was absolutely wonderful! He is so knowledgeable, sharing local culture and customs with us along the way. He was incredibly patient, took amazing photos for us, and prioritized our safety throughout the ride. It was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend everyone join his bike activities if you get the chance!     Avoid the hotel if you are a vegetarian

    Extremely disappointing experience at Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa.Before arrival, we had clearly informed the resort multiple times that we were strict vegetarians and that my elderly mother had dietary restrictions. Despite this, the hotel repeatedly failed to provide even basic vegetarian meal options during our stay from 25–30 May.Breakfast and dinner for vegetarians were reduced to repetitive potato curry, dal, and chapatis. For dinners, there were never vegetarian soup options or proper vegetarian alternatives alongside non-vegetarian buffet dishes. It was again a standard potato, dal and rice.The worst incident occurred on 29 May with Executive Chef Mr. Guillaume Hardoin, who argued with us and repeatedly told us:“If you don’t like the food here, don’t eat here. Go to the Indian restaurant.”I repeatedly explained that we were not demanding Indian food — we were simply asking for vegetarian food. Yet our concerns were dismissed repeatedly.As guests on a paid half-board plan, being told to leave the buffet restaurant because we requested vegetarian food was humiliating and unacceptable.I was traveling alone with elderly parents above 70 and a young child, which made the experience even more stressful.I do want to acknowledge that Chef Mr. Vasu and his entire team, several servers, and waiters genuinely tried their best to help us and showed professionalism and kindness throughout the stay.Unfortunately, the behavior and attitude displayed by the Executive Chef overshadowed the entire experience.Hilton seriously needs to improve its handling of vegetarian dietary requirements and guest treatment.Better to avoid this hotel if you are a vegetarian as their Executive Chef does not entertain vegetarians.
