  Beautiful hotel in Grand Gaube - can’t beat LUX*

  We stayed here in May 2026 for two weeks on an all inclusive basis. This is our fourth time staying at a LUX* resort. We tend to chose these hotels as we like the overall styling of the resorts, the good restaurant choices and the staff who make the holiday for us.I would say the rooms in some places need some TLC which we addressed when we departed, but overall it didn’t spoil our holiday and it shouldn’t change your experience. I must say the staff are always the biggest asset LUX* have at their hotels and there were so many friendly faces who made our holiday wonderful. We spent the most of our days on the beach and Reedoo, Kumar and Viresh looked after us amazingly. Reedoo in particular was a charming, friendly and hospitable friend who would greet us every morning, save the same beds we liked and would always have a cool box ready with our favourite drinks. Throughout the day he would check in on us, clean our glasses, mist your faces (“close your eyes and make a wish”) and just talk to us which we really appreciated. He made our trip special by creating flowers on the beach for us one morning and taking our photos too. Reedoo is exactly what LUX represents and he should be their biggest asset at this hotel.In addition we would like to say a big thank you to Sacchin, Vitesh, Kitesh, Tsiory and Adelon who were also fantastic and looked after us whilst eating and drinking across the restaurants. Everyone was excellent and couldn’t fault any meals or service we experienced.Make sure you take money to tip the staff at this hotel and be kind. They work incredibly hard and do everything they can to make your holiday memorable, thank you to each and every one of you.   A Perfect Family Holiday with Exceptional Hospitality

  We had an absolutely wonderful family holiday at Lux* Grand Gaube in May. The resort is beautiful, with stunning beaches, excellent facilities, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.What truly made our stay special was the exceptional team. A special thank you to Chef Ramen, Chef Singh, and Chef Deepuck, who went above and beyond to cater to our strict vegetarian dietary requirements. Their bespoke menu creations, attention to detail, and genuine care exceeded all expectations. We would also like to thank the pastry chef for the fantastic desserts and Freddy from the food service team for his outstanding service and friendly attitude.A heartfelt thank you to the housekeeping team for maintaining our room so impeccably, and to the day and night managers, whose kindness and attentiveness ensured everything was perfect throughout our stay.We also loved the daily kayaking and would like to thank the water sports team for their professionalism and enthusiasm. The Kids Club was excellent and kept our little one entertained, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy the resort.The combination of outstanding hospitality, delicious food, beautiful surroundings, and family-friendly facilities made this one of our most memorable holidays.   Well what a fantastic hotel ,and overwhelming experience, The Mauritian people are very welcoming and friendly. It was my 65th birthday treat and the staff made me happy very comfortable. Massive thanks to all the staff, start with Steven the pastry chef, brilliant cake and desserts.   Where do I start?! From the warmest and friendliest welcome by Sandeep at reception, we were escorted to our villa by our Butler Rupesh. Rupesh made it his mission to go above and beyond to facilitate everything and make our weeks stay as comfortable as possible. Nothing was ever too much and the surprise custom gifts for the kids was the icing on the cake! Akshay echoed this 7* service during the off peak times, making our stay forever memorable! More notably, Chef Ramen, Chef Deepuk, Chef Singh, Chef Bilal and Chef Aarti came to meet us each day, discuss all our culinary requests and make magic happen! There was nothing they couldn’t prepare or make happen, ensuring our families catering requirements were exceeded beyond our dreams! To top it off, Deepa and all the kids club team were so fantastic with the children, constantly entertaining and challenging the kids in such a pastoral and fun way! The kids wanted to spend sunrise to dawn there which put us parents such at ease. I can’t thank them all enough!
