    Perfect Location but the Worst Hygiene Ever – Avoid at All CostsWhile the location of this place is perfect—right in Grand Baie and close to the beach, restaurants, coffee shops, and more—the hygiene is absolutely appalling. Out of all my trips, this is by far the worst place I have ever stayed.The apartment was filled with cockroaches, and the cleanliness was non-existent. The bathroom was terrible, with dead insects scattered everywhere. Initially, the place might seem decent, but once you stay the night, you’ll see the huge cockroaches coming out. It was a nightmare.The staff are nice, which is the only positive, but staying in this apartment would be a complete catastrophe. I strongly advise against it—do not stay here!

    From check-in to check-out, the staff at the hotel, were brilliant , and could not have done more for us, ideally situated in Grand Baie, we stayed on half board basis, food was very good, service excellent. One thing though, make sure if you book tours, that the tour people understand, you are at the Oceanic Villa, and not the Ocean Villa, as there is a Ocean Villa in Grand Baie.

    When we arrived the outside of the grounds was overflowing with branches from a tree cutting. This limited parking and was unsightly. The grounds need URGENT tiding and general up-keep. The outside of the building needs URGENT maintenance. We stayed for a week on the second floor. The building is on the beach, but same is not easily accessible. The rooms in standard studio are in a separate building across the road. This is not on the beach, but has the swimming pool. I will not recommend these rooms as these are are neglected toooo much. This block is separate from main hotel, with no attention to the facilities as well as guests staying. We stayed in the main building located almost on the beach and facing the sea. The rooms we stayed in are spacious and clean, with kitchenette, lounge / bedroom, balcony and adequate for a family to cook and relax with a limited view over ocean, due to large trees on neighboring property. The bathroom with shower is adequate. The main reception was never attended to during our stay. Breakfast is served in the Tandoor restaurant across the road. Our attendant at he table, Jamal was ALWAYS friendly and EXTREMELY helpful. This enhanced to low-budget breakfast served. Dinner and Lunch is well prepared and typical with local flavors and taste. This is a good choice for a low budget, but can be improved a lot with minimal cost and effort.

    I stayed for four days with couple of my friends in second floor. The rooms in standard studio are in a separate bungalow across the road but not on the beach unlike other property of same hotel. Rooms are spacious but not clean, with kitchenette, balcony and adequate for a family to cook the food for themselves. The water in shower not hot despite our repeated complaints. The main reception is across the road and there is no telephone in the room to contact in case of any urgency. The best part is restaurant in the ground floor where the young and energitic Jamal helped us despite the hotel being less than comfortable.As this block is separate from main hotel, obviously there is no adequate attention to the facilities as well as guests staying. It's better to stay in main building located on the beach facing sea.

    I booked a one night stay at Ocenic Villa and I loved the place.The receptionist was very hospitable and I loved the welcome drinks.The room was spacious and clean.The wifi was a bit ok though I would have loved it way faster.The breakfast and lunch was amazing.I also loved their cocktails.
