    The place is quiet and small. Rooms are a bit run down and reasonably clean, although grime can be seen here and there. To take into account the cheap price the quality may be acceptable. Breakfast was a joke: half a banana, half egg, lukewarm coffee or tea. Maybe they are desperately trying to cut down costs but this is not a very good way to make savings.The host is very friendly and helpful so that helps to balance negative aspects.He offered a ride to Grand Baie with 60€, which is higher than a regular taxi price.

    I stayed here only one night because I had limited time but it was very good and memorable. On arrival, I got such a warm welcome from Mrs. Ritesh and later on Met Mr. Ritesh, the owner, a gentleman who has great hospitality with Positive friendly attitude, I was even invited for a drink that evening. Truly a wonderful experience! Ritesh is the star of the show - doing everything possible to make my stay the best ever. Room is pleasant, delightful food. Attention to detail and personalised service when in contact with him. The breakfast was lovely! It remind me of the breakfast I used to have when I visited my Uncle place on Sunday’s. This place is all about escaping from the stress of everyday life. It is a great place to relax and unwind! Will be going back this December! DS281120. Thank you so much Mr and Mrs. Ritesh!

    I have stayed at this family run hotel 5 times, as part of my retirement, usually for 2 months or more at a time. The level of service is always excellent, the manager cannot be more friendly or helpful. The inexpensive new and original rooms are very clean, a decent breakfast included, plus closeness to the airport. I cannot express enough my gratitude for my pleasant visits.

    We have pictures and they are horrendous of this person.Very different to the property advertised unfortunately, and it sounds like the proprietor has ripped our client off charging EUR90 instead of EUR45. Ritesh B, Manager at Residence Les Bambous, responded to this review Dear Trudi, you or ypur guest never stayed in my guesthouse. There is three different hotel mostly the same name in Mahebourg, 1. Le Bamboo hotel, 2. Le Bambou hotel&restaurant but my Residence Les Bambous. Maybe you had made a big confusion, l never and will never charge a guest double the room price.

    Very friendly and helpful owner/family. Clean room with mini-kitchen and balcony as shown on booking.com. Stayed there 3 pleasant nights with my girlfriend. Furniture is a bit old but you definitely get what you payed for. Well located with a safe feeling. (picture from balcony)
