Location

This beach lies on a beautiful stretch of sandy coast, looking out over the tranquil Trou d'Eau Douce Bay. Out in the lagoon are two beautiful islands, including Ile aux Cerfs with its spectacular 18-hole championship golf course. The centre of Trou d'Eau Douce is approximately 2 km from the resort.

Facility

Guests can enjoy the pleasant ambience of one of the 3 villas/houses. The following room categories are also available: 125 junior suites, 7 suites and 203 double rooms. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities available at the resort include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The resort has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift. Sport

The resort offers an extensive outdoor sports programme, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis, bocce, beach volleyball, volleyball and fishing. A number of sports are available, including water sports such as snorkelling and aquafit. For a fee, guests can also enjoy water skiing, windsurfing, paddle boating, banana boat rides, canoeing, sailing, catamaraning, kayaking and diving. Sports enthusiasts are also offered a wide range of indoor activities, including a gym, table tennis, badminton, billiards, darts, yoga and aerobics. Various wellness options are available at the resort, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a beauty salon, massage treatments, anti-ageing treatments and Ayurveda treatments. Additional leisure activities include a kids' club, live music, a dance club and a nightclub.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant (with high chairs), a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Catering options include half board and full board. At breakfast and dinner, guests serve themselves at the generous buffet. Various dishes can be ordered à la carte for lunch and dinner. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available. The show cooking is a particularly special attraction. The complex offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    We stayed for 3 nights in a Hibiscus ocean view room. Check in was very friendly by Dana with extensive information on the resort. Room was huge with a good size bathroom with l’Occitane products. The bed very comfortable and all clean and fresh. Breakfast buffet was very nice and lots on offer. Lunch at Coco’s - nice but the menu a bit limited in my opinion. The Mauritian buffet was very nice. Kushi was good but nothing spectacular and Safran a bit better. Service friendly but rushed. They have an amazing wine list which we enjoyed. The bar lacks atmosphere and the wine glasses were not polished. For a 5 star resort we expect better. Yesterday no electricity for a few hours but the resort offered a free BBQ on their beautiful private island. The water was crystal clear. At the resort itself milky…..We had 3 very good and relaxing days but stop rushing over dinner and make sure the very friendly staff checks things - if you order a bottle of wine of €75 the glasses should be spotless. But this resort is worth your time and money and can recommend to visit!

    Amazing honeymoon stay!

    We chose the Shangri-La Le Touessrok to celebrate our honeymoon and it exceeded all expectations! From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the stunning entrance and Jessica who instantly made us feel welcomed and greeted us with welcome drinks and showed us to our rooms. The rooms are stunning and all overlook the multiple beaches, the atmosphere is calm and relaxed and the resort is absolutely beautiful. The food was some of the best food we have ever tasted, the themed dinner nights at TSK were amazing, particularly the seafood night and the roast and grill evening. It is clear the chefs are passionate about the food they cook and are very talented. A special mention to Chef Itesh who always went above and beyond for us every evening, cooking steaks to our preference (some of the best we have ever had!) and pairing it with sauce and making recommendations. Itesh was so friendly and kind and really looked after us! The members of staff who always waited on us at dinner were friendly and professional, including Sanjay and Owen. The hotel stay includes complimentary water sports such as water skiing and snorkelling. We tried water skiing for the first time and Philippe was a great instructor and very patient with us! The guys who run the snorkelling trips are also great, a big thanks to Samuel who was present on all of our snorkelling trips and really helpful and friendly. Everyday we were greeted in the foyer by Jean - Marc who was so friendly and welcoming, always had time to talk to us and going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect… always with a smile as he says! The staff who cleaned our room everyday and who did evening service to ensure we didn’t need anything were all amazing including Deepmala and Deepkamur who decorated our room for us with flowers! Overall, I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough, we had our dream honeymoon and all the staff who work at the hotel and beyond were absolutely amazing and take great pride in their work which is clear to see. We can’t wait to visit again one day!!

    The location was in the middle of nowhere, the entertainment was non existent and the restaurants available poor at best. The quality of the food was more like a local restaurant.I have stayed at many shangi la hotels around the world but this was not of the quality that the others were, definitely the worst and more like a three star at best. Go to lux Gran Baie or Royal Palms

    Absolutely outstanding! The location, rooms and especially the staff.It is the staff who make this hotel so very special, from the moment you arrive.An amazing and memorable place to spend my 60th birthday. I can’t wait to return!I need to give very special thanks to the Executive Sous Chef (Bobby) who truly went out of his way to accommodate my special medical diet (and checked in with me daily). The food and service provided by him and his team was exceptional - I can’t thank him enough!I am so grateful to the kindness and warmth shown by all staff - from the hotel porter (Deepak) who took me to see the tortoises on my birthday and was so kind, Tony (the beekeeper) for sharing his extensive knowledge and passion for the bees, Rosario, for an amazing and fun day out cycling and all the breakfast staff at Coco’s who made every morning blissful (Shabnum, Martine, Antoine, Ponner & Kush). Finally, to housekeeping at the Frangipani wing & the staff who decorated the room & made my birthday unforgettable.I thank you all! ♥️

    We have loved spending our annual family holidays in this resort. We are impressed and consistency of of the quality of service, of people. We have left many memories with our family.
