  Amazing family stay

  Aldea Kuka was wonderful and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Rooms were clean and airy. You can feel the nature of outside coming into the room in the most magical way. We were met every morning by Luis at breakfast. He remembered our names and what the kids liked to order. He was also very prompt to welcome us back to the hotel every time we left and returned. The margaritas were absolute perfection sitting next to the pool! We enjoyed our stay and the service that we received through the 4 nights we were there!

  Misleading “Nature Retreat” – Beautiful Room Inside but Overall Disappointing and extremely noisy

  Our stay at Aldea Kuká was a disappointment, especially given the price point and the expectations set by the hotel’s branding.We chose this property hoping for a calm, nature-immersed retreat with privacy and quiet. The reality was very different.The hotel is not isolated at all. It sits along sandy roads with constant foot traffic, golf carts and vehicles passing throughout the day. There is no real sense of exclusivity or serenity.There is music playing every day and into the evening. While a live performance one night was enjoyable, repeating the same loud music every night quickly became unbearable and completely incompatible with the idea of a peaceful retreat. In fact, most of the surrounding hotels are significantly quieter and would be preferable for anyone sensitive to noise.The overall architecture is poorly conceived. There is very little privacy between rooms, almost no meaningful outdoor space to relax, and no real garden despite the “nature” positioning. The layout feels dense and exposed rather than intimate.Our Master Suite was beautiful inside — well designed, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. However, it lacked a proper large terrace, which is a significant drawback in a place that should prioritize indoor-outdoor living. Many of the other rooms also appeared quite unattractive and did not match the images or expectations.The pool is extremely small for the number of guests, making it crowded and difficult to enjoy.Overall, Aldea Kuká might suit travelers looking for a social, busy atmosphere, but it is not suitable for those seeking calm, privacy and a refined, nature-driven experience.We would not return and would recommend looking elsewhere for a truly peaceful stay. I cannot put more than 2 despite some nice aspects because of the level of unwanted noise days and evenings!!

  I've only given this hotel 2* rating due to a variety of reasons. It was a great shame that on the day of departure the hotel insisted on charging me for a drink I did not have from the mini fridge. This soured my trip even more so. The Mangle room my daughter and I stayed in was basic. Bathroom shabby. We faced the front of the hotel so this is noisy from the vehicles used on the island. The mini fridge seems to run on a motor that kicks in regularly during the night causing a loud noise. The hotel had promised that they would have tea bags in the room using the hot water from the coffee machine. There were none, so when I asked, I was told I had to choose between the coffee pods or teabags. What hotel doesn't give you both?! This 'hospitality set' was extremely disappointing. And not to supply free bottled water either. If you wanted a cappuccino at breakfast this is extra! My daughter is a vegan so there was very little she could eat at the hotel. If you're wanting a quiet tranquil hotel, this isn't for you. The hotel blasts out club music all day from the restaurant onto the beach. Overall, I think Aldea Kuká are over selling themselves with the 'luxury eco boutique' title ..

  The only perfect service was by javier and israel who manage the restaurant. Other personal were mediocer. Spoke hardly english and we had to ask for roomclearing and more, nothing came natural like it should in a high star hotel. Not worth the money.

  Exceeded expectations, highly recommend!

  Travelled late December with a group of six, three couples. Exceeded expectations, clean property, high-quality drinks and food. Would return in a heartbeat. Friendly staff with ability to order from the restaurant and bar from your beach chair. Highest quality food & drinks using fresh ingredients and served with a smile. Special mention to Luiz, Javier and Mike who lit up when we came out and felt more like family. Delicious food, walking distance to market, beach bars and beach side restaurants.
