    Overpriced

We ended up in this hotel because our other hostal was overbooked, this was the only one that had a bed to sleep in. The bathroom was full of flies, the bed was somehow very sticky, the ac was not properly working to the point that I sweated a little too much and some of my hair dye got into the white pillow. they charged me 80 pesos because "they didn't use bleach" I was very upset because I would have not minded giving them 80 pesos as a tip even though the service sucked, do not go there.

You get what you pay for

    rating24 Oct 2018

First off we didn't actually choose to come here, their sister property sent us here because of issues. Pros- pool is adequate, fresh water in hallway, ac worked, bed itself barely adequate.Cons- pillows are Mexican version and have no support, are clumpy and do not support neck. Pictures are misleading so we included our room pictures. Not fresh smell in room and hallways, difficult to describe but unpleasant. Windows not secured for kids. Loud music until 4'ish. TV remote didn't work, ac remote didn't work (ac set at 20*C). No internet in room, very limited outside lobby. Room furniture, look at the pictures. Room door keypad worked sometimes, a pain if you need to use toilet. Large gaps in windows and doors so no soundproofing and no security. Leaking shower and little hot waterAnything left out is neither pro or con and not worth discussing. Pictures speak loudly. Luckily we only stayed one night because if we were told we were staying the rest of our stay there we would have left 2nd day. Not horrible but definitely dated and a dump according to Canadian standardsIf you just need somewhere to crash it's adequate. If you care about your sleep go elsewhere

    Horrible Hotel - Stay Away!!!!

    rating03 Jul 2017

We booked for one night due to a late arrival in Cancun. We were headed to Akumal the next morning... we left shortly after check-in as the hotel was terrible. The room was dirty, bathroom smelled bad, wall had holes. We couldn't even sit on the bed. I booked a room at La Quinta in Cancun the same night and it was much better.

    Avoid at all cost!!!

    rating15 May 2017

Do NOT be fooled by the photos and the reviews!!!I usually am not particularly picky when it comes to hotels but for bad experiences this hotel takes the cake.1.- I arrive in Cancun before check in time and drove to the hotel. I knew that the room would not be ready and that I wouldn't be able to access it but at least the receptionist should have allowed me to check-in, leave my bags and come back after check-in time...when I asked if any courtesies could have been extended I was told "My folios are numbered, please come back"Adding insult to injury, I came back ON THE HOUR when it was time for check-in and the receptionist completely ignored me while he dealt with guests who arrived after me.2.- The parking area is a JOKE...only 3 or 4 cars could fit there and they don't want you to use the parking in front of the hotel.3.- While my room's AC unit worked perfectly fine, the one in my friends room didn't even start4.- There is a mold smell in the rooms5.- Hot water didn't work all the time and there was NEVER water in the morning when I got up6.- EVERYTHING about this hotel is outdated7.- I once needed to make a local call and I was IGNORED at front desk for 15 minutes while the staff spoke amoung themselves8.- Your keycard deactivates atleast twice a day even if you keep it away from magnetics and your phone...9.- WIFI SUCKS in the roomsMy overall view of the hotel is a MESS!!!! Sadly I had to give them a star even though they deserve none at all

Party scene, but not a recommended choice

    rating21 Aug 2016

We arrived on Sunday at 4pm to extraordinarily loud music. The music was so loud that we could not converse at all with the receptionist. I am not clear, but it appears that the restaurant associated with the hotel was holding some sort of concert in the shared patio/pool deck. The pool was full of local folks with their kids, large beer bongs were on the tables, outrageously loud music was being performed live. The vocalist (a term I use somewhat loosely) was accompanied by 2 scantily clad women dancing in a provocative manner. We took things to our room, directly above the loud party. We couldn't escape the noise there either. I think it may have been even louder. We turned on the air conditioner and took our swimsuits to go find somewhere else to hang out.The room is outdated, the sheets felt like they had sand in them. The TV worked, the lights worked, bathroom was fully functional and clean. Provided with one roll of toilet paper, 2 small bars of soap, 2 bottles of shampoo, and 2 bath towels. No hand towels, no wash cloths, no tissues, no cup. There was a bottled water station out in the hallway, but the water was empty. We found a deal for this room at $30 US for the night. At this price, it was adequate. I have had much better experiences at Motel 6 for similar cost. I would not pay more than that for a room here, especially since it was so noisy. Our room adjoined another room. The lock and door was flimsy, we could easily have unlocked the door from our side and gone into the other room. This disturbed me, because the other guests could do the same. Due to the poor quality of doors and workmanship, there are huge gaps in the doorways. Air conditioning is not maximally efficient and there is almost no dampening of sounds. All night long obnoxious people were talking loudly and coming and going in the hallway.Though the concert outside was done when we returned at 8pm to sleep, there was some sort of dance club nearby with loud music too. The noise was clearly audible in our room with everything closed. I thought they would chill after the evening time since it was Sunday night and things usually close earlier. This was not the case. The loud dance music continued until 4 am. I had to get up at 5:30. I enjoyed about 2 hours of sleep all together. Had it not been for the terrible noise it might have been ok for the night, but this was probably one of my worst hotel experiences and I have stayed at some colorful places.WI FI was slow and typically Mexican-- it cuts in and out, drops signal, and is almost useless.
