    Disappointed with the beach.

    rating15 Jun 2026

We watched YouTube reviews for this hotel before booking it. We thought the beach was nice, but when we got there we were so disappointed! There were many small rocks in the water, so there were only few people in there water! The beach was one of the top factors for us to book a hotel. eConcierge and Social Media Dreams Sands, Otro at Dreams Sands Cancun Resort & Spa, responded to this review Dear Tony NThank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to learn that the beach experience did not meet your expectations. Natural beach and ocean conditions can vary throughout the year, and factors such as tides, currents, weather patterns, and the movement of natural materials may affect the shoreline and water conditions in ways that are difficult to predict. We understand how important the beach was in your decision to visit, and we regret any disappointment caused. Please know that our team continuously works to maintain and care for the beach areas while providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all our guests. Your comments are greatly appreciated and will be shared with the appropriate teams as part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing our guests' experiences. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future and provide a stay that better meets your expectations.Kind regardsAna UitzilE-concierge

More of a nap, than a Dream

    rating14 Jun 2026

The partial ocean view was 90% blocked with an awning and trees. The food left a lot to be desired, bland and tough steaks. The beach is too small to have equipment remove the sargassum so it has to be raked by hand, bagged and hauled out through the pool area. The sea/beach was red flagged all 5 days we were there. They just can't keep up. The rooms are clean and large enough, but there are glass doors, for little privacy in the shower and none in vanity area. Very little to do other than pools when beach is shut down. Entertainment was okay. The resort is very clean and staff is constantly cleaning public areas. The staff was very helpful and eager to please. With the beach shut down we could have been at an all inclusive anywhere in Texas or Florida. Drinks we plentiful and good. Tip to have the best service. eConcierge and Social Media Dreams Sands, Otro at Dreams Sands Cancun Resort & Spa, responded to this review Dear Judy AThank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We are pleased to know that you enjoyed the cleanliness of your accommodations, the attentiveness of our team members, and the special touches provided during your celebration. We also appreciate your recognition of our staff’s commitment to guest safety and service. We sincerely regret that certain aspects of your stay did not fully meet your expectations. Regarding the beach conditions, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused by the presence of sargassum. This natural phenomenon can vary significantly and unpredictably throughout the region. Our teams work continuously each day to clean and maintain the shoreline to provide the best possible beach experience for our guests.Your observations are invaluable and will be shared with the appropriate teams as part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing the guest experience. With respect to room views, our reservation materials explain the "Partial Ocean View" category as accommodations oriented toward the ocean; however, portions of the view may be affected by the resort’s layout, landscaping, or other structures. Guests seeking the most direct and unobstructed ocean scenery may prefer reserving an "Ocean View" category, which is specifically designed to offer a more prominent view of the sea.Regarding the water sports services mentioned, please note that these activities are operated by an independent company and are not managed by the resort. Nevertheless, we will gladly share your comments with the provider for their review and consideration. We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us identify opportunities for improvement. Thank you for recognizing the dedication of our team, and we wish you and your family all the best in your future travels.Kind regardsAna UitzilE-concierge
