Location

This comfortable beach hotel is situated on a stunning stretch of beach, ideal for sunbathing and swimming, offering fantastic views of the Caribbean Sea or the Nichupte Lagoon. A public transport stop is situated only 50 metres from the hotel. Also nearby are diverse shops, countless restaurants, bars, pubs, cafés, entertainment venues and a buzzing nightlife. A commercial district is also to be found close by. The airport is 18 km away and Playa del Carmen is 65 km away.

Facility

7 junior suites, 26 suites, 138 single rooms and 337 double rooms are available to guests in an 8-storey main building and 2 auxiliary buildings. English-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The resort has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (no extra charge) or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. A business centre with fax machine and projector is available.

Rooms

Air conditioning, central heating and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. In most units, guests can enjoy a view of the sea from a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A hairdryer and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The resort has family rooms, non-smoking rooms and smoking rooms.

Sport

Guests can strike that perfect balance between exercise and relaxation in one of the 2 indoor and outdoor pools. The freshwater pool area, which is in part heated, also has a children's pool. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub (for a fee). A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. A variety of activities such as tennis, beach volleyball and volleyball or, for a fee, golf, are offered at the resort. A number of sports are available, including water sports such as windsurfing, snorkelling, water aerobics and aquafit. For a fee, guests can also enjoy water skiing, motorboat rides, sailing, catamaraning and diving. Sports enthusiasts are also offered a wide range of indoor activities, including a gym, table tennis, billiards, yoga and aerobics. There is a wellness area with a spa, a hammam, hydrotherapy treatments and a solarium and, for an additional fee, a sauna, a steam bath and massage treatments. Additional leisure activities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club, live music, a dance club and a nightclub.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a dining room, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Guests can enjoy the culinary delights of 6 air-conditioned, non-smoking restaurants with separate areas for smokers. Catering options include full board and all-inclusive. For breakfast (continental), lunch, and dinner, guests serve themselves at the buffet or choose their favourite dishes from the à la carte options (for lunch and dinner). Staff are also happy to provide children's meals. The complex also offers snacks. For guests, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included.

    Great place to visit for a few days. Hotel is not big so it's very walkable.Nice beach, nice pool and great food. Everything was fresh and tasty. Rooms a bit older but clean.     Let me caveat this review by saying that prior to staying here for four days, I'd spent my 3 previous nights at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun. The two resorts are literally night and day. The Hyatt was AMAZING. Maybe if I hadn't seen it before this resort I would have felt differently. Where to begin? First off, the food. Ugh. Best meal I had was the burger from the stand by the pool. And to be fair, that burger was amazing. But the rest of the food was mediocre at best. Also, at most restaurants they have multiple menu items that are an upsell. Either be an all-inclusive or don't. I got traveler's diarrhea while there. Again, no stomach issues at the Hyatt. I have to assume this has something to do with the food preparation.The rooms were just ok. No real complaints, but they are old and in need of an update. The pool was quite nice and enjoyable, but you could tell it needed some TLC as well.Service at the pool was amazing. The guy who handled my section each day was very quick to bring me food and drinks which I greatly appreciated.Would I return? Absolutely not. But, it was half the price of the Hyatt, so I can see that it might be a decent deal for some families.     A great place to stay in Cancun

    We had an excellent time at the Fiesta Americana Condesa hotel during our first time in Mexico and Cancun. The location was perfect for day trips, the rooms were clean and the bed very comfortable. It was lovely to hear the sound of the fountains water in the building courtyard each time we came out of the room. The staff was very nice, very polite and very professional from the cleaners and restaurant staff to the Entertainment team. And the spa is brilliant too! :) Although we didn't take part in a lot of the hotel entertainment other than the cocktail mixology class and the beach volley ball it was obvious the all entertainment team was really dedicated to their roles and their customers.
