Uber incident

I had a very hostile and unpleasant stay. I only stayed one night as it was my last night in Cancun. I wanted to go out for my last night and tried to take an uber, but the bellman would not let my uber pick me up and harassed them to leave. I ended up having to cancel my uber and got charged. They then looked at me with shame as they informed me that uber is illegal, which was a lie. After looking into it I learned that there is a taxi cartel and the hotel is in on it, they claim uber is illegal and force you to take their expensive 3rd party taxi service if you want to go anywhere. This completely ruined my last night and left a sour taste in my mouth. When I confronted Hilton guest services I got a hostile message back saying that because I have a friends and family discount I am not allowed to leave a complaint or they will take me out of the friends and family program. I also took this to Hiltons guest services because I didn't feel safe bringing it up to the hotel as they avoided answering my question when asked if uber was illegal. The service at the hotel was very lifeless and nonchalant, and the pool is neon green with algae I assume. Overall, this experience with Hilton has left such a sour taste. Would not EVER recommend this place to stay.

We stayed a night and had dinner in the hotel restaurant. Marciel was our waiter and was fantastic. He was incredibly friendly.

Marcial our server at the restaurant was just amazing. Incredible service and the food was so good.. The hotel is really nice with the contemporary vibe and so close to the airport. It was a perfect spot to book..

Location was the best since we needed a place just to crash for a night ,the room was nice and clean, food was very good, e.g mixed grill and guacamole. Maciel was very attentive and nice with us, we will definetely come back here. Thank you.
